...the masa past time

of course nag-usi kami ni pangs sa mga nangyayari sa labas hehehe! early this morning (well, not that early, around past 9am) the pedestrian underpass were already closed so i was able to walk in the middle of Paseo road.. it's weird 'cause i felt that at anytime i was going to get smashed by a vehicle or something hehe.. the road was clear of traffic of course, i was just being edgy.. and took the opportunity to take a photo of it, Lol! it isn't everyday i get to do this (walk in the middle of a main road) without getting ticketed for jaywalking..

"loyal ka ba?" kasi meh gf siya nun.. hahahaha! abah, "hindi" ang sinagot..ngayon pag tinatanong ko, "oo" na! L O L!

...my fab cake

we've given the DP to judy uson! here's our cake *drum roll please*:

mycake
i fell in love with this cake the very first time i laid eyes on it.. hehe.. it has separate chiffon layers that our guests could enjoy (well, only a lucky 100, lol!) we ordered for chocolate (yipee!) 'cause i'm not much of a "carrot-walnut" fan, though ms. judy says that's her bestseller.. mine will only be 4 layers of chiffon cake, a top layer of white chocolate and a separate cutting cake..

so excited! ms judy's also very friendly and easy to talk too.. she texts us about meeting her (hindi tulad ng iba, kelangang kmi pa ang magtext!)

anyway, eat na ako lunch! brb!

...paranoia

System Time: 3:14 PM
i don't know if i'm just imagining things or what but everytime i post something negative about Sentimental Groove, they text/call me the very next day to make up for it.. someone from their company must be a member of the w@wie group 'cause it happened twice already.. first time my post was something like "ang gulo ni Kate, mali yung pangalan ng groom sa kontrata tas nung sinabi ko na palitan sabi ni Kate icounter-sign na lang daw namin, haluuuu".. the very next day i got 2 calls from Kate on my cell, apologizing for her error in the contract and asking my full name and my h2b's and promising to fax the revised contract immediately.. that time, i was kinda thinking, siguro coincidence lang.. tas eto na naman, i asked to resched our prod. mtg 'cause we couldn't make it on weekdays 'cause we always stay late in the office.. i texted Danny na resched na lang kami tas ang tagal na, wala parin akong naririnig from them.. tas someone asked in the group about TSG so post na naman ako, i said yung nangyari saken na ang tagal-tagal na, wala parin akong naririnig sa kanila and that hindi nila inaalagaan clients nila.. abah, that very night i got a text from Danny asking when we could resched our production meeting.. medyo nagkalituan pa kami sa text pero positive pero ang outcome kasi kanina lang, tumawag na sila sa office.. ituturn-over daw ni Danny keh Pia yung wedding namin tas siya na kameeting namin.. we were finally able to set a Prod meeting sched (on August 6, 2 pm) tas ayun, reassure si Danny na magiging involved parin siya nakaleave siya..

*commercial* may text from TSG just now, hehe (speak of the devil)

...the most expensive dress

...this coming from a girl who thinks that 150/bucks for a plain shirt is tooo much. hehe. i don't think i'll ever have anything more expensive than this.. i've got the sketches of my gown from Tet (she emailed them to me) it's like lace all over with a bit of beadwork on the waist.. Pangs found this on one of her magazines last July 2 when we were discussing my gowns.. (galing ng Pangs ko!) here it is:

CE gown

and here's the back with my looovely lacey train..

CE back

all for the low, low price of 18k.. yahoooeeyy!

here are the designs for my entou.. (c/o Tet, too) they're just very simple, my MOH (ate Chary) and Bridesmaid (Akel, Pangs' sister) would be wearing green with yellow ribbons.. (both are off-shoulder, Akel's the empire cut)

CE moh

they're 1400 and 1300 pesos respectively..(very cheap! cloth + labor!)

and my SS..they'll be in yellow with the green criss-cross ribbon in front, tea length lang so they can move freely)..my 3 flower girls will have ballroom skirts and a big band with different shades of green mini ribbons..

CE sec

1200 for my SS and 1300 for my flower girls.. a total of 28k (discounted na 200 bucks hehe).. family suki na kasi namin si Tet, kaya 18 lang yung gown ko 'cause laces could get expensive..

so, so happy.. who knew it would be my H2b who would discover my dream dress? Hurrah!

...the good and the bad

System Time: 5:45 PM
so cold in the office.. brrr.. anyway, i had such an eventFUL sunday that just thinking about it makes me tired.. i think that was the longest day of my life.. (and i'm not even the bida!)

first was the pamanhikan.. it was fantaastic.. when they arrived, they bought so much food (kakanin, 2 boxes of cakes) 'cause they weren't supposed to bring anything 'cause we'll be eating out.. Pangs came with his Mom, Dad, Akel (his sis) and his Tita Ebot.. first were the intros and dad went on to entertain them.. i don't think i've seen my dad talk that much in my entire life.. i really, really appreciated him that day 'cause he was trying his earnest to entertain my MIL and FIL2b.. good thing that Pang's Tita also went 'cause she was the talkative one and they found some common ground to talk about (lot bidding and stuff).. when the meryenda was prepared (this was just around 10am) and everyone sat at the dining table, the first thing my dad said was
"wala na naman tayung pag-uusapan pa tungkol sa kasal, eh, inayos na lahat ng dalawang ito eh"
then they went on on how proud they were of us that we were able to make the decisions and stuff (and that we actually had money to marry to begin with) and then, their conversation went on to different topics..you wouldn't think it was a pamamanhikan, more of a get-together party of some sort.. around 11:00 they decided to proceed to Grilla and we had our lunch there (there was so much food!) my folks and pangs' were talking so much (i didn't even care to listen, hehe) so i'm assuming everything went well in there side.. our side of the table (the kids) were much quieter, but i'm happy 'cause my sisters were talking to Raymond and his sister.. (like movies, ento gowns and stuff)

we had pictures taken (will post that soon, ate ging keeps on forgetting her cable for her camera) and ate ging kept on saying "prenup pics, prenups!" and we tried really, just ended up laughing so hard every time..(yari ako pag seryosohan na haha, i might give the peace sign, lol!)

uwi na pagkatapos, tas eto na, one of the WORST decisions in my life.. ate ging said punta daw siyang Robinson's Mall (Metro East) so sabi ko keh ate chary, punta rin kami, watch a movie or something..(arrggghh wrong decision!!) so we watched a the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (hilarious!) and shopped around a bit (i bought an Apple & Eve blazer) tas text si Ate Ging, uwi na daw kami.. so up we went to the escalator.. Ate Chary was waayy infront of me but I saw this guy who was right infront of Ate Chary drop his plastic just when he was about to get off the escalator.. he quickly picked it up 'cause his butt to touch Ate Chary's ahmmm pelvic area..so Ate was like "watda" eh I was "ang bastos nun, uh!".. we parked in the highest level so we rode another escalator up.. ate chary even said "he shouldn't have picked that up" kasi nga ang bastos.. tas wan ko ba kung pano kami naghiwalay ni Ate Chary, nauna na naman siya with me far behind her sa escalator.. tas I saw the same guy zigzag his way to Ate Chary na naman! grrrr! pambwiset! sobrang nakatitig ako baka nga bastusin na naman siya.. tas aba, ginawa na naman, same thing! pagdating ko sa tuktok sinigawan ko yung lalake "putek! anong problema mo!

1. "may problema ba?"
2. "sa bingohan tayo magkita" (meh Binggo sa Sta. Lu, a mall right beside Robinson)

..and that Police station is a SCARY place to be. nakatitig yung mga preso sa amin ng pumunta kami sa station... natapos, kami mga past 12 midnight na.. (MONDAY NA!) hatid hatid na ni Ate Ging mga friends nya sa Marikina and San Mateo..

to top it all off, it was raining hard, tas we were to late to realize na ang layo pala ng baha (kasi, u have to remember this was midnight so we didn't think it was uncommon na walang dumadaang sasakyan dun sa road).. sabi na lang si Ate na "putek, putek..oh my God, oh my God" while the van was slowly driving through the THIGH-high flood water.. wahahaha. sabi rin si ate "lagot. lagot. lagot" i think she was referring to Dad, lagot siya..

hay.. pagdating namin bahay, napagalitan pa kami ni Mommy bakit daw sinampahan pa namin eh hindi na naman namin makukuha celphone ni ate. grr. so much for PRINSIPYO dibuh. at sabi pa ni daddy, puro basura daw harap ng starex. bwahaha. pak-tay.

so that was my day, the good, and the bad.. but all throughout, kausap ko pangs ko, (he even heard me while kausap yung guy na nangharass keh ate) so i'm still thankful, and thankful sa PLDT unlimited call. to Smart. bwehehehe.

i love you pangs! babay na! nagrarally na sa Ayala, magkikita-kita sa Libis for Ria's despedida.

...bukas na!

nyihihihihi. i'm freaking excited.. tomorrow na pamamanhikan.. i know it may sound late to you guys since we already planned most of it.. hinintay ko kasing umuwi sister ko (ate ging) plus raymond wanted to tell his folks pag meh ipon na kami, at yung tipong wala na silang aalalahanin.. and our plan really worked.. his mother appreciated our effort and we're so responsible daw and everything.. (and the fact na hindi ako preggy! LOL) i'm so, so, happy and blessed to have such wonderful biyenans.. and that they actually accepted me! lol! i was so nervous when i first met them at Dad's, i almost didn't eat.. (imagine, me? not eating sa Dad's! eh kinakain ko dun ilang kilong sashimi lagi eh!) his sister, Akel, is so adorable, i love it when she calls me Ate (sa text) even though i'm only older by one year..

tomorrow is IT.. nagbebless na nga si raymond sa parents ko and sa titos and titas ko..(am so proud of him! lol!)

itinerary tomorrow:
1. punta sila sa house namin
2. kain kami sa labas (already pre-ordered sa Grilla, Sumulong)
..eto kasi gusto ni daddy, para hassle-free daw (i agree!)

i love you my one and only pangs.

p.s.
pangs as in pangarap. hindi panget. lol! bangs pag inis ako (as in bangungot)

...w@wies

sooo thankful for this egroup.. people there are soooo friendly and they really answer your questions! hehe! i can't believe how many people are getting married.. i've been reading my email for at least 2 hours already (and i'm not yet even halfway thru).. i also learned a bit of their lingo like h2b, mil, b2b (husband to be, mother in law, bride to be).. ano pa ba.. tmu, hmu (trial make up, hair and make up).. di ko parin alam yung iba, eh.. i've been bloghoppping their wedding blogs and pag nagiiwan ako ng comments, nagrereply sila kagad, ang bait! i saw this w@wie, mai, (yung nagleave ng message saken din dito) kita nyo naman, ang bait! we met kasi Tet (my prospect couturier) last Sunday and kakainis, pinapapalit nya yung motif ko! waaah.. i want pale yellow and light green kasi tas sabi ni Tet, madilim daw sa NSDG kaya ndi daw makikita.. ok, fine, she has a point BUT if it's not pale yellow, then i don't want the color yellow anymore! medyo nag semi-tantrum ako (ok, bad move saken hehe) pero arrgghh i can't imagine bright yellow sa ento gowns ko.. baka sakalin ako ng mga yun.. anyway, mai gave me the contact of her divi couturier so i'll ask if pwede magpaappointment..

ingatsss at sabi nga nila, happy preps!

...yes, yes, yes!!!

may venue na kamiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! yahooo!! sa Auditorium of Tektite Bldg in Ortigas.. they don't pencil book but Ms. Rowena Martin was kind enough to do it for us 'cause she can hear the desperation in my voice,.. hehe jk..we just couldn't set our schedules straight so she gave us until saturday to give our deposit.. it's 4k an hour.. (still cheaper than the mosquito-infested Kasalikasan).. we'll probably just rent it for 3-4 hours.. think that's more than enough for the eating, the program (speech, cake cutting, etc) and the dancing..

yehey!! last weekend was a busy (but happy) 'cause my soon to be MIL and I (with pangs of course) went to various prospective reception venues.. we went to Lepanto Penthouse (at Paseo) where SWAN had an actual set-up (the place was too small for us, i think), then at Kasalikan in The Fort (as my soon-to-be MIL said.. "no good!"), Palladium Clubhouse at Shaw (plain ugly..did not meet ANY of my expectations) and lastly at the Auditorium of the Tektite Building.. it was really the best, no wonder my cousin, Ate Lala, chose that place for her wedding.. it was big, square place that had a stage and chandeliers.. it even had a foyer (where we could put a Studio set-up and our Gifts Table)..it's big enough for 200 guests and our band AND the ceiling was high enough for our gazebo!! yeheyyy! so so so so happy.. i'll post some pics next time of the venue..

also very happy 'cause I got the chance this weekend to bond with Raymond's mom.. i love her already! she's so easy to talk to and she doesn't scare me one bit.. I also met Raymond's lolo and lola.. i absolutely adooore his lola..(plus the fact that she likes me too!! hehe) she was like all teary-eyed and said "eto magiging manugang naten!" hahaha!

kain lang ako lunch.. bye all!

...let's groove tonight!

System Time: 7:46 AM
went last night to Sentimental Groove's Demo at Boni Ave and they were absolutely awesome! We only saw 2 bands perform..The first one was Enamel.. they were kind of a mellow jazz band and Science of Sound, which was more upbeat than Enamel... we liked both but we booked SOS because we wanted danceable music, and we feel that they're more versatile 'cause they also played popsy tunes like You are The Universe and Knocks me Off my feet.. we loved them so much we booked on the spot! (got a 2k discount from that) SOS consists of 5 band members and 2 singers (but we'll probably add another percussion) and you get to choose your singers.. we chose Aubrey, she sang The Nearness of You and I liked the richness of her voice.. For the guy, we'll probably get Rommel, the guy who sounds a bit like Gary V.. the band's a bit expensive.. 20k.. but they are an All-In-One band so they're at the church to the reception.. they can be jazzy, to mainstream, to showband.. it's super cool! so in my wedding, prepare your best dancing shoes 'cause we'll be grooving all night! (no eat and run in MY wedding!) woohooo! we're also getting their sound system 'cause nobody would make them sound better than themselves right? it's a complete set-up.. 8 microphones, 6 speakers, mixer, CD player tape deck, amplifier and Disco Lights.. that's a LOT of sound boost

so far, our suppliers are:
1. SWAN Catering
2. Jaime Elizaga
3. Sentimental Groove

that's a 100k+ worth of services. gosh.

at wala pa kaming reception venue. bwahahaha.

anyway, that's the latest.. i'm having LSS from last night.. "Do the Hustle!" lol!

bye!

...search for a new venue

...omg, it's so tiring.. we'll be changing our reception venue so we're feeling a teeny bit harassed 'cause it's so hard to find a cheap, nice, spacious space.. raymond's parents felt that the garden beside Nuestra was a tad small for our reception, so since then, we've looked at 3 places: Kasalikasan at The Fort, The Loft at Rockwell and the penthouse at Lepanto Building (beside Equitable-PCI in Paseo)
so far, the only place that I like is the last one, the INDOOR penthouse.. waaah, keyword is INDOOR.. is this a sign? is it gonna rain on our wedding day? are we going to go INDOOR already? huhuhuhu! anyway, i had really looww expectations when we came to the building.. (you know, old, OLATS elevators) but it turned to be a pleasant surprise 'cause the room was spacious, carpeted and even had a veranda that we could use.. the restrooms were really cool, meh design design pa yung ceiling and there was a long bar that we could use (as if, lol) plus it comes cheap! only 12k for the place! SWAN was the one who recommended it so they already know how to set-up the place,.. and Ma'am Rebi was really friendly, telling us stories and made fun of her own "wedding".. there are cons, old building, a biiit far from guadalupe, at least 15 minutes away..

anyway, the search has just begun.. we're pencil-booked at Lepanto for 2 weeks, hopefully we'll find a building (in Ortigas, hopefully) which has nearer and as nice as their function room..

p.s.
help guyysss.. if you know a venue whether outdoors/indoors.. clubhouses, gardens, halls, penthouses, rooftops, whatever near Guadalupe Viejo.. please leave a note okay!

...meeting the photographer

we finally met Jaime Elizaga last Sunday and the wait was worth it. After seeing his album and pictures, he showed us where he gets his albums done. It's JT Photo World and we could really save a lot if we just hire Jaime for his services and have the album done there. It's much tasking, but the amount we would save is huuuge. We'll be doing our own layout and go to JT and have it printed and placed in an album (they have many!). The total cost would only be 26+! (from our original budget of 40k, this is a really good deal) 15k would go to Jaime and another photographer, 6k for video (with DVD output), 2k for the prints, 2k+ for an 8x10 album and another 2k+ for phototac (protects the pictures).

I'm so, so excited. We're also hoping to hit the 100k mark again next month for our savings, I think having it depleted to 70k motivated us to give more last payday. We also finalized our menu for Swan, just thinking about it makes me hungry. We're adding Phad Thai (noodles with peanut sauce, it's really good, trust me!) and Spicy Beef Caldereta to our original menu. We did have a tiny problem with Swan (regarding a typo on their menu) Their quotation showed that our package, the 400/head, already includes a Salad BAR but they said it was a typo and it was only a SALAD (meaning chicken macaroni or potato salad) so when we saw the final contract, they charged us for an additional 15/head for the SALAD BAR. it's pretty frustrating, 'cause we thought we could get our food for 60k flat.. we're still pleading our case, but we're not keeping our hopes up.

Yun muna, i'm at work.. i love you my pangs!!!! i can't wait.

...hello June!!

System Time: 3:45 PM
gaaah. i haven't heard from the not-to-be-named company.. tsk, tsk. and I thought i would be getting a new career.. anyway, as my libre horoscope said..Career: Hayaan lang mangyari ang mangyari... bahala na si batman (still don't get this saying..what does batman have to do with anything!?)..

we've deployed LIPS and we've been barraged with errors and questions and user stupidity.. huhuhu.. it's TOTALLY not our fault, we did have testers, right? but still, it reflects on us how the system is doing.. (or poorly doing,..demmit)

welcome to June!! tag-ulan, trapik dhel pasukan na.. grrr..binabawi ko pagwelcome kow.. it's a busy month for us..

June 4 - Swan (downpayment)
June 5 - meet Jaime Elizaga (photo/video man)
June 11 - bridal fare at Megamall
June 12 - meet Pangs' Tita
June 18 - meet Tet the coutur..siyet, mananahi na nga lang (lol!)

it's so sad to see our savings cut in half.. UHUHUHU.. 70k+ nalng..HUHUHU.. ang layo pa ng tatahakin namin..

ms. anna said that when she got married, they were at least able to break-even from the money given to them by ninongs and ninang.. WOW, that's good enough for me if that happens, but, really, it's such a looong shot for my family that i'm not the least bit hoping.. my only wish for the wedding is for it to run smoothly..

i'm still hoping we could afford a band, i'm compiling a list of songs that we like, just so i wouldn't forget them..i'm mostly looking for danceable jazz/soul songs.. (no IKAW at MY wedding) but there's still a bunch of pop rock songs and the usual wedding songs (Knocks me Off my feet.. i love this song!)

here's my unofficial list:
1. Barry White - Can't get enough of your love, babe
2. Barry White - You're my First, My Last, my Everything
3. Bless the Broken Road - (yung kinanta ni Carrie.. from Rascal sumting)
3. Edwin McCain - I could not Ask for More
4. Jamie Cullum - Everlasting Love
5. Joss Stone - For the Love of You
6. Kyla - I feel for You (bakittt buuuhh, i love kyla, and song ko toh keh pangs)
7. Eternal - Let's Stay Together
8. Lifehouse - You and Me
9. Norah Jones - The Nearness of You (common pero still sweet)
10. Stevie Wonder - Knocks Me off My feet
11. Will Young - Your Love is King (i absolutely looove this song, heard it first from BJ:Edge of Reason's OST)
12. You make me color blind (forgot the artist)
13. You Make Me so Very Happy (hehe, gusto ko ng sumayaw!)
14. Tamia - Spend my Life with You (pangs' favorite song)

it's still too short.. gusto ko rin yung song ni Carrie, Inside my Heart.. sana hindi pa yun corny pagdating ng January, haha..

pabili ako ng DVD keh dadi sa quiapo.. season 3 of Smallville and season 1 of The OC.. wala pa daw season 2 eh.. so excited to go home and start watching!!

hanggang dito na lng muna.. see you guys! mwaaaah.mwahh. mwahhh! (i'm in a kissing mood)

...food for the brain and soul

my sister, ate ging's favorite book is The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.. I think i've ATTEMPTED to read this book at least 3 times.. try reading the first few chapters of the book and you'll understand.. (it's confusing) anyway, when i was assigned to ORTIGAS agency last friday, i brought a book with me since I would be staying (read: tambay) there for tech support and the 4 Agreements book was pretty small and was the only book that would fit my teeny bag.. I decided to skip the chapters that were slowing me down and went on to the The First Agreement chapter.. I'm not notorious in doing that, in fact, i always read every single word in every book (unlike my sister chary who skips the boring parts) but this time, i'm verrrry glad that i did skip it 'cause I would be missing A LOT now... I just would like to share what i've read..

The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom

1. BE IMPECCABLE WITH YOUR WORD
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

... this is probably the hardest agreement among the 4.. it's so fun to gossip and easy to be rude.. I keep forgetting about this one.. I'm still trying my very best though..

2. DON'T TAKE ANYTHING PERSONALLY
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to to the opinions and and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

... i know i should know this, but just reading it and realizing it makes all the difference... even if someone said to me, "i hate you!".. it's not REALLY ME! it still has something to do with their own life, their own experiences, their own expectations that made the person say that.. so as cher says,...WHATEVER.

3. DON'T MAKE ASSUMPTIONS
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as you can do avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With this just one agreeement, you can completely transform your life.

... i did this just last week, when the company not be named called Raymond first.. I freaked out! I locked myself in the CR and I totally became melodramatic.. then when i went back to my desk, Raymond told me that the HR head called while i was out.. turns out I too was scheduled for an interview.. so there, lesson learned. no more drama for me... and It applies to ANY situation.. stop the drama until you really know the facts.

4. ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST
Your best is going to change from moment to moment, it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.

... i hope you guys find these 4 agreements as liberating as I do.. already, i'm feeling it.. feeling the effects, just by following just 1 agreement, it made me feel free and alive again.. sounds too good to be true, right? just try it.. you won't lose anything in trying..

good luck to us!!

ps.
just bought One Tree Hill's - OST.. i absolutely loooove Gavin Degraw... and Yey to Carrie!!! can't believe I like COUNTRY now.. who would've thought.. (i'm still buying Bo's CD, if ever...)

...nerve-wrecking week

1. LIPS (Life Insurance Planning System) training and development - this has been one of my LONGEST projects so far.. TG, it's almost over
2. Got a call from .. I'm still keeping it a secret, I don't want to jinx my application. I'm scheduled for interview this Friday, already took the exam, (TG I passed) so hopefully, this is it! BTW, it's not Accenture..
3. The other system, FIS (Field Information System) deadline is also at the end of the month.. one of my one-man team programs
4. It's AI finals week! Who would it be? Carrie or Bo? already heard their songs at rickey.org.. I'm not especially rooting for anyone in particular.. I happen to like both Carrie and Bo..

I'll post next time.. hopefully I'll be giving good news by then..

Bye! wish me luck!!

...breaking news (at least for us)

My post last May 10, 2004:

I received a text message from my Dad.. it said:

Your search is over! 800k house and lot, ang ganda ng view. 200 sq.meters.

Obviously we're now looking for a place of our own.. It's so difficult to look for the perfect place.. everything's either super small or super expensive.. It's a BIG, BIG deal that Pangs agreed to live in Antipolo.. meh business plan na nga kami eh.. ang bibilin naming van eh yung pwede kaming magsakay ng mga 8 people from COGEO to Makati para pambawi sa parking and gas..hehe.. anyway, back to the place.. overlooking pa daw sabi ni Daddy.. tapos meh 2 fruit trees, mangga tsaka langka na ang daming bunga..there's a livable house (2 bedrooms and a big bathroom) and did i mention the cheap price of 800k for the 200 square meter house and lot? it's perfect for us, just the right size with the right price..it's so exciting, i can't hardly wait to see it this Sunday..

Pangs and I also went to Ayala Westgrove last, last week and it was simply beautiful there! Every house was unique and stylish and creatively designed that I couldn't really decide which one was my favorite..It's a good thing that Pangs and I went there.. It inspired us even more so that we would work harder so we could achieve all our dreams.. It all sounds terribly mushy but there's really no other way to say it.. We're making it our lifelong goal to build a vacation/retirement house there..sabi nga nila, hindi naman masamang mangarap.. kaya dream big!

i also bought my first household item.. 15 wooden hangers.. hahaha.. i'm taking Carson's advice (of Queer Eye)..goodbye to metal hangers! i bought them for only 88 bucks for 5 pieces 'cause it was on sale in DIY at Gateway..I'm freaking out 'cause I'm freaking out for a bunch of hangers... I guess this comes with age, hehe

Regarding our wedding preparations.. we're trying to find all sorts of ways to cut down the cost so we could still have some money left over.. (we now have 119,785.54k! yey!) I got rid of my disposable wedding cameras plan since we're already paying A HUGE amount for photos..my arch (huhuh, lol!)..and 10k off the budget for photo video.. we were able to talk to Jaime Elizaga (the photographer, the one with the 35k package..2 photographers and 1 videographer) and asked him if how much would the package cost if we were to do the layouting, the overrated digital storybook layout..and he said just 30k plus he'll throw in a mini-album! super saya! 5k din yun dibuh? we'll meet him this saturday to see the albums.. yehey!

it's a hectic month (more so than usual) 'cause the project we've been slaving for months is soon to be deployed and the end of the month.. plus our saturdays are all packed (meeting the caterer, photographer and the program deployment) so I'm I'm feeling a bit harassed..nothing unmanageable, but still, I feel like I'm always tired..

I'll write soon! bye all!

p.s.
Happy Birthday tomorrow Sis Joy! hope you enjoy your day!!

...guess who's getting married?

aside from me, of course... it's my thesis partner, AnShe!! my ISM kada got together last night and Anshe made the announcement over dinner..(we ate at Recipes, ang sarap ng crispy tadyang! lol) at long last, Jeff proposed to her after almost 5(?, i'm not sure..) years of being together..she showed her beaayuuutiful ring (for a second i thought they were already married 'cause it was a band with the stones set around it, hehe) they haven't set the date yet but hopefully it's on december or on the first quarter of next year..i'm super excited for her! and now i have my wedding expo-mate! yipeee! i could share to her my infinite(Lol) knowledge on caterers, photographers and other wedding paraphernalia to her..ALSO getting married is Jane, our ISM classmate.. she got engaged last April 9 and I just texted her to say my congrats.. pahiram daw ng magazines, sabi nya hehe.. gosh,.. bat parang ang babata pa namen? hehe.. si harbie kasi, siya salarin, siya nagsimula ng chain eh hehe..

anyway, it's month-end again so we'll be staying 'til morning here in the office to help out in whatever batch processing they do here.. i, personally, still don't understand the stuff they do during month-ends 'cause they usually give Pangs that job but Ma'am M might not be here next month-end so I'll hafto watch and learn tonight..

we're still pretty confident with the wedding preparations,.. we'll be going to SWAN on the 21st to settle everything and on the 7th, we'll be meeting John Aguas for the photo video stuff.. we'll be meeting Jaime Elizaga too, hopefully on the week after that.. we've also started canvassing for the wedding bands..though our budget is only 20k, we've found some great platinum pairs at Venice Jewellers for only 29k so we're still figuring out what to do..(there are even cheap, finely made 18k white gold rings for only 10k a pair at a shop in Gateway!) we're also thinking of ordering our rings to our local alahero.. here's a couple of designs that pangs and i like..tell me which one you like, the Row Ring (1st one) or the Flat Ring (2nd one)
Row Ring
Flat Ring

bye na muna! congrats Anshe! congrats Jane! 'til next blog!

p.s.
huhuhuh. constantine's gone. OHHH HINDEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! leche kasi, nagRock pa na song. huhuhu. the song Bo Bice sang btw is my current favorite song, it's One Tree Hill's soundtrack, I Don't Wanna Be by Gavin Degraw.

...star struck (well kind of)

had one of my kapalmuks moments and photographed Jennylyn Mercado when we saw her at Gateway.. Pangs and I were buying Ma'am M's birthday present (we bought DKNY Delicious) when we noticed that the salesman cajoling over someone at the next booth.. it was Jennylyn and i just said "Jen!" then she turned around and I said "picture?" then without waiting for her answer I snapped away with my camera phone.
jennylyn mercado

harharhar. pangs said "i can't believe ginawa mo yun!" lol! ako rin, kaya ko pala yun hehehe. eh katabi ko lang eh, pwede ko ngang kalabitin eh edi pinicturan ko na para mapakita ko sa kapatid kong kapwa kapuso

ANYWAY, we've reached the 100k mark with our savings (woohoo!! just 200k to go... LOL! siyet) and we're so, so happy about it 'cause we've been saving for like 4 months only.. considering our lifestyle, (we eat out almost thrice a week!) it's a feat to save ANY amount actually.. guess we're reaping the benefits of our OTs..the LIPS project will be over by the end of May so we better learn how to be frugal so we could continue giving at least 7k every payday to our wedding fund..

uwi na kami ni pangs! try naming wag na mag overnite kasi nagkakasakit na kami (si pangs nilalagnat tsaka sinisipon tas ako ndi na magising ng madaling araw sa sobrang antuk!)..babayuuu!

ps.
meh caller id na kami. lagot kayong nangbubwiset samen!!! tapos na maliligayang araw nyo!! lol!

...so many choices, so little money

got hold of a directory for photo/video services and i've been spamming them since monday morning, hoping i could find a great portfolio that could actually FIT into our budget.. we didn't really expect packages to be THESE expensive.. i mean, the best one we've liked so far is a 40k package with 2 photographers and 1 videographer.. check him out..i absolute looove his photos.. i also like johnaguas.com and the 40k package has 2 photographers, 2 videographers, 2 MINI albums, a prenup shooting and video in DVD. it's pretty complete but the only bad thing is his studio's in Las Pinas..super duper far.

i can't believe how many they are.. and how expensive! makes it more crucial for us to pick the perfect one for our wedding.. we also looooove (idol na namin, actually) dinolara photography.. simple layouts, (simple works! i don't get it why people don't get THAT.) photojournalistic approach, great and informative website.. if we can afford him, we'll get him.

btw, i bought myself a creative zen micro.. woohoooeyy! scrap that from my WISHLIST. /me does a jiggy-dance it has 5GB, FM tuner, voice recorder and comes in many colors.. i got the hot pink one.. wooohoooeyyyyy!
my zen micro

i'll see you guys. email me at gewi@gawab.com if you know any photo/video stuff. thanks!!!

...baby blog

we went to another food-tasting trip last weekend,..this time at Auffrance Catering and D'Empire.. I had high expectations for Auffrance ('cause their packages are higher than Swan) and veryyy loow expectations for D'Empire but they still managed to disappoint us!! because of that, Pangs said that we should stop wasting taxi fare even if it means free food for us 'cause it just isn't worth it.. it blows my mind as to how they even get clients.. my dad cooks better for pete's sake..it just reaffirms our choice for Swan as our caterer.. still the best deal we've seen (and tasted!)

anyway, here are some cutesy babies i've met since i last posted.. lara, my HS kada's daughter, alyssa and my new inaanak, IEL who was baptized last march 27..oh, and miggy.. who i taught how to make the peace sign like every normal baby should do (hehe).. he got a BIT confused 'cause he said "no..no.. i'm 3 not 2" LOL!

alyssa

we also went to visit ching for her 2nd death anniversary (can't believe it's been two years).. here's kate, pangs and jing at Loyola

before i go.. SINCE this is MY blog, i just want to blow off some steam and tell you guys how much i absolutely HATE Rob and Amber of the Amazing Race 7.. i hate Rob for even thinking that Meredith pushed Gretchen so that they'll pity them.. grrr.. and for not even stopping for the brothers when they saw them ditched on the side of the road.. and i HAAATE Amber for grinning at his bigheadedness..SO WHAT if it's a competition..you don't have to lose your morals whenever you join a contest! and SUCHHH greediness. Let someone else have a chance at a million dollars. oh, i forgot.. they're friggin bums and joining contests are their only jobs. Rob's the ultimate winner for proposing to a millionaire. GRRRRR. please, please, please let them not be the winners.. I read some rumors that Uechenna and Joyce (whom i like!) won but the top 3 also includes the uber-bwiset-sana-pagduguan-ka-sa-tabi-ng-kalsada-walang-tumulong-sainyo Rob and Amber and the gay couple Lynn & Alex..

*whew* glad to get that off my non-existent chest. next time i'll write a petition to ban the couple in joining any more reality contests.

bye guys!

...the long wait is over

System Time: 9:07 AM
..we have found the perfect caterer! I'm talking about Swan Catering, of course.. the food is delicious, the package is great and it's extremely affordable..just 400 bucks a head and we get a wedding cake that looks awesome, (it doesn't look part of the package, unlike some caterers where the cake looks absolutely pathetic) a gazebo and a wedding car for free! Our whole meal was served to us last Sunday.. crispy ukoy for appetizer, clam chowder soup (with clams, bacon bits and potatoes),barbequed spareribs, grilled blue marlin with lemon butter sauce (my fave!), chicken cordon blue and fresh lumpiang ubod (they didn't forget the grounded peanuts!).. for dessert, we chose fresh fruits in season (ponkan, papaya, watermelon, pineapple and melon) and mango crepe.. we ate everything til our stomachs cannot handle any more "abuse"! (ay meh sotanghan din pala, hehe) although we haven't closed the deal, we've pretty much made up our minds to have them as our caterer.. they're a big and old company (they had 7 caterings last sunday alone!) and i'm sure they won't disappoint us on the day itself..

here's pangs eating his heart out at the swan catering food tasting
pangs at swan catering
go pangs! lol! mwahhh!

we want to be sure to get the 400/head price so we'll probably be paying them the full amount next month so we wouldn't be affected with any price increase or tax increase or something like that since our wedding's still on january..if an increase happens, we might canvass all over again! waaah ayaw ko na! hirap kaya! lol!

it's holy week so don't eat your meat and live a saintly week (or a day, if that's all you can do, hehe).. i'll be contemplating my life while trying to finish my sidelines this weekend..(ora et labora, pray and work) cyah guys! bye!

...love it!

System Time: 1:46 PM
omg, i'm inlove!! i'm in love with Ayala Westgrove Heights and i absolutely want to live there and i won't rest until i do! Pangs mentioned this to me when we went to Tagaytay but i just brushed it off 'cause it was in the South and I never really wanted to live in that area.... until now! it started with a promotional article in The Star today.. it said "First Batch of St.Scholastica's-Westgrove Graduates" cause i didn't know that such branch existed so i read on.. The article featured this mother whose family moved to Ayala Westgrove and was gushing about how wonderful there life has been after that.. (lol) i know, i know, it's pretty cheesy but i googled the village and now I"M the one gushing about it in my blog.. what i really liked about it is the fact that St.Scho is just outside the village and of course, as a proud Scholastican, i also want my future kid to have Benedictine values growing up..Pangs doesn't really want to live in Marikina and ayaw ko ng St.Scho Manila (hehe).. plus it has always been my childhood dream to live in an exclusive village, having classmates in HS who lived in Filinvest, Town n Country, etc with their posh clubhouses and village pools, i was a bit envious that they could walk around their village and that they ACTUALLY KNOW their neighbors.. lol! (of course, our house was almost always more beautiful than theirs but that's another story, hehehe) of course, i could also settle for something similar to it, somewhere more affordable but just as near and as picturesque as Westgrove but I would always have the village on mind so that I would have something solid to aim for myself and my pangs..

...you make me so very happy

yep, it's the song Constantine sang in the last AI.. i am now a certified fan of this song! and i want to post this for my one and only pangs!! time to get senti! mwahmwahmwah

I lost at love before
Got mad and closed the door
But your sun shined just once more

I chose you for the one
Now we're having so much
You treated me so kind
I'm about to lose my mind
You made me so very happy
I'm so glad you came into my life

The others were untrue
But when it came to loving you
I'd spend my whole life through

'Cause you came and you took control
You touch my very soul
You always showed me that
Loving you is where it's at
You made me so very happy
I'm so glad you came into my life

Thank you baby!

I love so much you see
You're even in my dreams
I can hear, I can hear you callin' me
I'm so much in love with you
All I ever want to do is
Thank you baby, thank you baby

You make me so very happy
I'm so glad you came into my life
You made me so very happy
You made me so very happy, baby
I'm so glad you came
Into my life

I want to thank you boy
Thank you baby

i'm gonna convince Pangs to make it our first Dance.. hehe.. mwahmwah

...aza aza fighting!

System Time: 4:07 PM
i'm always the last to know about the latest in our kada.. and of course, i was the last to know the Roni already gave birth to a healthy baby girl..(i wouldn't even know had i not called her) and she did it without any general anesthesia.. OMG, she's a Hero.. she said that the labor pain was so intense she didn't even feel them snipping away in her p***p**! LOL! sheteee di ko kaya yun..congrats roni! and *wapaks* what the hell where you thinking, tolerating that extreme pain? lol! we'll visit you and Vian next week!

anyway, i'm so excited about the upcoming food-tasting at Swan this Sunday.. i'm not gonna eat any lunch so i'll appreciate the food more, hehehe..

i forgot to show this pictures, these were taken at the (not-so) grand foodtasting of Batis Asul..
pangs at batis asul
centerpiece by balay kandila

the decor was fantastic, i absolutely love candles! but the food is forgettable..(i know i've blogged this before but i'm still frickin disappointed! lol)

i'm still busy at the office but i've been recently watching the DVD of the Koreanovela, "Full House" with the actress from Endless Love 1 (si Jenny).. i'm already on the last disc (Disc 8) and it's so addicting.. one time, all you could hear from the 3 TVs in our house was Korean dialogue.. my mom was watching it in her room, my sister at the Living Room, and i was watching it in MY room.. hehe..(we were watching different discs).. it's a comedy with a bit of drama without a murderous villain (don't you just hate women murderers in soaps?) and a kidnapping scene (another Pinoy soap must-have).. another thing i also love 'bout the series is the house.. it's SUCH a beautiful house, and it's so similar to my dream home.. a home with a modern facade with glass walls at the back that overlooks a beach.. it's wonderful!! can't wait to go home early today and watch the ending..(wala si Ma'am Marivic, A-B-S-E-N-T.. it's a miracle.)

speaking of uwi ng maaga, my dad just texted me this:
Aga kayong umuwi. Masarap ang ulam- seafood special- adobong alimango n halaan soup

ayus!! bye all!!

ps.
my title's a line from Full House, syempre makakaappreciate lang eh Ate ko at Nanay ko na hindi naman nagbabasa ng blog ko. harharhar.

...grand food-tasting filled weekend

...pangs and i went to Mt. Carmel last friday for Karwaje's food tasting.. we got there and we were able to see their (puny) decor and set-up but the food was excellent.. it sort of raised our standards for the food caterer.. the day after that, we had two appointments... first at St. Nicholas Catering located in front of the Makati City Hall at 1 pm and Batis Asul in Heroes Hill at 4 pm.. St. Nicholas' food is not even worth mentioning while Batis Asul's food was so-so.. it was neither bad nor exceptional.. pwede na, ika nga.. but of course, we aren't looking for "okay na", we want something "wow and masarap!" and "wow mura" LOL! finding the right caterer seems to be the most difficult and crucial decision for a wedding.. almost anyone's first reaction when attending a wedding is how good the food was.. "ay masarap food nun!" after that they say.. "ganda rin ng gown..." (nevermind the bride, harhar).. that's why we're trying to contact as many caterers as we can so we can make the right decision.. we have another scheduled food tasting this Sunday at Swan Catering around 1 pm... our hopes are high for that one, since they have the best package so far, just 400 bucks a head, (all in, including SC and gov't tax) and includes a very nice gazebo (karwaje's gazebo sucked), a 3 layer Fondant Cake and a Bridal Car! it's sooo cool.. just wish the food's better than Batis Asul.. the weekend was almost a waste, good thing we met Rosette of Something Borrowed.. she's brilliant! she sketched my dream wedding gown in a matter of minutes.. she's expensive too.. she quoted my gown for 20k.. some say it's already cheap but i just can't imagine spending 20k in just one dress that i'll wear in like 5 hours! arrrrghhhh but the dress is sooo darn beautiful.. *sighs*

anyway, i've enrolled in a gym (Gold's) this month and was on my 2nd training day and my trainor discovered something weird in my right shoulder.. i have to have it examined this weekend, it's preeeetty weird, almost disturbing really.. i mean, it looks like my shoulders aren't aligned and my right shoulder looks dislocated.. it doesn't really hurt that much, just when i lift some weights parallel to the ground that i feel it.. i'll have it x-rayed this weekend, just to be sure..

i'll see you guys around.. i'm still at work, i think i'll be spending the night here again.. bye all!! God bless!

...happy birthday pangs!

System Time: 8:10 AM
gud mawnin guys! last Friday was Pang's Birthday and I was able to join their family for lunch (yep, the whole family) at Dad's.. i was pretty nervous (and late) for it but Tita Sion (uy, nakiki-Tita hehe) was her usual friendly self and Akel, her sister was cheery as well.. It was my first time to meet his Dad.. I wasn't able to talk to him that much but he was amiable to me too.. their family is quite similar to ours, their closeness is very endearing.. Pang's mom said to me as the lunch ended "Till me meet again, Geri" sabay akbay sa akin.. i'm really, really happy that they like me.. they still don't know of our plans (pangs is still waiting for the right time) but so far, it's been good and all i want is to be part of their family..after lunch, Pangs and I went to Red Box and videoked our lungs out till 7 pm (it's only 199 bucks each for the 3-7 pm slot) and THAT was a lot of fun..

the next day after that, pangs and I went to EK.. he was able to borrow his family's van and we arrived at EK around mid-afternoon..it was Pang's first time to go there so i jostled him into posing for me with EK's mascot hehe..

good thing we brought an extra set of clothes 'cause we got drenched at the Rio Grande.. we also revisited Sonya's Garden and saw a lot of improvements there since we came 5 months ago.. we didn't eat there ('cause the food is crap) but was still able to capture some of the beaaauutiful flowers there..

sonya's flowers

some bad news though.. Roni's Dad passed away last Saturday so we went there last Monday at their house for the wake.. Condolence Roni, so sorry, but i'm sure your Dad's enjoying himself up there with God..

bye for now.. have a great week!

(not including my bouquet,..but mine's just cheap 'cause all i want are yellow calla lilies which cost just 1k).. i want a big arch which he estimated to be around 6k.. then the reception flowers which is about 10k..(i don't want to add up the numbers.. i'm too scared! lol) i'm so excited! we talked to 4 vendors and we specifically liked Joel of Bulaklak.. he sounded really concerned about the outcome of his flowers so you really know he's gonna take good care of it for you..

ate ging's in singapore again so i have the room all by myself! too bad i don't actually sleep on it on weekdays, huhuhu.. it's so busy here in pramerica, that i haven't found the time to finish Clive's site and i'm just scared shitless 'cause they keep calling on my cellphone and i'm not answering 'cause i basically haven't done ANY update on their site.. huhuhu.. i really, really am so embarassed but it's just so daaamn tiring to go home and face the computer again to do my sidelines.. *sighs* hope i find the time to do it tonight..

i'll see you guys around..bye for now!

...exciting times

i found a super great software called "My Wedding Organizer". It's your electronic wedding planner and has functions like "Guest List", "To-Do List", "Budget" and every activity a bride could think of. I could create adhoc reports from it, such as "All Female Guests" (for the tossing of the bouquet) or "Things To Do This Month" just so you won't forget anything in your To-Do List. I couldn't open it (the program) during office hours because it starts up with a big name of "Bride" and "Groom" (we have enough "wedding jokes" and teases to last us a lifetime) We're currently inputting stuff on the Guest List Tab and the Budget Tab..here's a screen shot of the program...

weddingorganizer
budget

cool dibuh!? it's so exciting..i love it! it's user-friendly and easily customizable..(you can change the fields (i mean, who needs an entry for Cartage Fees) and add your own)..

pangs also was finally able to set the time on his gift for me, a "Wedding Countdown Clock".. (the name's self explanatory, right?) there's just a MILLION products out there that really make Weddings commercialized, but, you know what, who gives a sh*t!! I'M getting married! Coca-Cola could sponsor our wedding and give bottle openers for souvenir, for all i care, lol! last saturday, we went to Guadalupe Viejo and gave the downpayment for the Church and Garden reception site...at last, we had something accomplished! pangs took this lovely picture of the church too..it's such a beautiful old church, see for yourself..

guadalupe viejo

in the meantime, we've opened our very first joint account at BPI (whose bank employees are extremely amiable unlike Metrobank where you have to name-drop just for them to entertain you.. ano sila, gobyerno!? lol!) and i just feel like everything's in order.. i don't want to rush and cram 'cause we all know that when you do that, prices just start doubling.. the longer the preparation, the better!

happy post-valentines to everyone! pangs surprised me with a loooovely bouquet of yellow calla lilies.. i firmly believed that i'm the only girl who was carrying that particular kind of flower in the entire Enterprise building! bwahahahaha.
calla lilies

bye for now! gotta work, since i'm actually getting paid just by blogging this post, hehe. bye!

p.s.
decided to put some 'semblance of life in my template.. that's the enterprise bldg(where i work, photo c/o pangs) and the "proposal site".. also added a flickr zeitgeist which i saw at reich's blog, pagaya uh, cute eh, hehe!

i was able to watch the final episode last night. Too bad my faves, Jon and Kris didn't win (Freddy and Kendra did) but they remain my favorite couple for ALL seasons of amazing race that i've watched so far.. i absolutely love Kris.. she's always upbeat and perky..she never whines even when they were experiencing bad luck on the race and i've never heard her scream or get angry at Jon.. jon's the same, and i also love the way they see the good things in every country they visited.. the other couples tend to focus on the negative but jon and Kris always, aaalways find something good to say no matter how awful or poor the country looks like... when i find myself bickering with pangs or whining or being petty.. i try to think of Kris and how i want to be more Kris-like in our relationship.. i wanna always be supportive of him and be optimistic (waah but it's sooo difficult! lol).. i don't want to bitch him around when things are not going our way.. i just want him to see my love emanating for him through every action that i do and every word that i say 'cause that's exactly how i see his love for me.. 'cause he deserves all that and much, much more.. i love you so, sooo much my pangs! i can't wait to be your wife..happy 5th my pangs mwaaaaaah >:D<

...a greeaaat weekend

last saturday, pangs and i met with our first prospective caterer, Mrs. Wilma of Karwaje Catering Services.. we really like her!! proud na proud siya sa food nila, sa pagsasalita nya, parang sure na sure siya na hindi siya mapapahiya sa amin. we discussed the menu with her (secret muna kung anu) and we're so excited about it 'cause we got everything that we want that is still within our budget. kwento pa siya about sa weddings na pinagcater na nya at isa lang masasabi ko , magaling siya sa marketing hehe. bentang benta siya samen.. sabi nga ni pangs, 180 turnaround siya sa karwaje,.. kasi nga mahal siya nung unang tingin namin pero after meeting ms. wilma, nilagay nya yung gusto naming menu sa pinakamura nilang package bwahaha. we'll still meet other caterers, particularly Blue Petals Catering, pero so far, we are impressed. nagsuggest din si mrs. wilma ng ibang venues, ('cause we were thinking of doing it sa Renaissance Bramante, Poolside) and she suggested Kapitan Moy sa Marikina which has a big church (Our Lady of Abandoned, San Roque) in front of it.. so punta kami dun, meh kinakasal nga eh, ako nagustuhan ko yung itsura ng flowers, (si pangs hindi hehe) tas tanong kami kung how much and everything.. (8,000 bucks yung flower arrangement na nakita namin, with matching lilies sa floor) PERO hindi na available yung date na december 10 (can you believe it!? i can't! grabe magpareserve mga tao uh, shado excited. lol) pero we still went at Kapitan Moy (just across the church) and looked inside. It's like an old house with a big hall.. hindi kami nagandahan eh (the floors were chipped and faded, panget ng ceiling) so i told pangs, punta tayu renaissance! so we went there (wala kaming planong pumunta, eh, i needed something positive to end the day hehe) tas after asking for directions INSIDE the renaissance centre for like 10 times, we finally found the poolside. it wasn't anything spectacular, pero pwede na rin. tas si pangs biglang nagyaya din na pumuntang guadalupe viejo.. so punta kami dun, and nagandahan din si pangs sa church. it's a small, old church that's really perfect for weddings. bad news is hindi na rin available yung dec. 10.. every 4 pm slot on weekends from november up to january 2006 were already reserved! my gosh, kakabuwsit. siguro it's the december thing, peak season talaga siya. sabi nga, mas maraming kinakasal sa december keysa sa june. anyways, meh isang weekend ng january ang available (meh nakaERASE lang na pencil dun, lol) so dun na kami ikakasal. meh pros din sa change of date. first of all, aapprove si mommy kasi sabi nya, next year na lang daw kami ikasal. OHA next year yun uh! (never mind na 1 month lang ang nadagdag haha) second, hindi na maulan sa january so pwede yung garden wedding na gusto ni pangs! tiningnan din namin yung garden nila, it's very simple but pretty. courtyard talaga ang dating nya, and it has so much potential, madali siyang pagandahin, so pinareserve din namin yun.

kanina naman, pumunta kaming manila seedling bank sa meh QC.. tas i looked for potted flower plants kasi yun ang balak naming souvenir ni pangs.. ang saya! ang saya talaga dun! ang mura kasi bwahahah. mga 3 for 100 lang yung potted mums, pero i bought yung Celosia na plant (dark yellow and dark orange) para mapakita ko keh pangs at baka sakaling maipopragate ko eh lalo kaming makakatipid..instead of hiring a florist, bibili na lang ako ng magagandang plants, papagandahin ko tlga yung garden sa guadalupe! happy rin ako kasi open na yung family ko to the idea of my wedding.. binilan pa ako ng bridal magazine ni mommy.. i showed them the ring for the first time tas nagandahan silang lahat lalo na si ate chary.. (pero pangs, parang nahulaan nya yung secret naten eh hahaha pero i still didn't tell) si ate ging, so-so parin, pero she'll come around. i have faith naman. LOL.

salamat sa lahat ng nagcomment!! thanks so much, lalo ako natutuwa tsaka naeexcite. babay muna, gusto ko ng basahin yung magazine eh hehe. and to my pangs... i'm THE luckiest girl in the world. i love you!!

the title says it all. but i have a good feeling there will be greater weekends to come..

...fax fax pakasing nalalaman

ohmigod i just did a big booboo. last night (spent the night at Pramerica again), i was emailing some caterers to send me an attachment or fax me at the office their wedding packages, with the thought that i'll be able to check the fax machine every so often. i emailed that around this time too, but then forgot all about it until the next morning. pangs and i left the office to take a bath, but as soon as we got back at the office, sir Gerald, asked me "Espinosa ka ba, Geri?" while holding a couple of A4 papers.

i was "uh-oh"ing on my mind as soon as he said that, already realizing what i have gotten myself into. "Yes, sir" sabi ko.

he then handed me the fax with a cover letter of "TO SIR GERI ESPINOSA. WEDDING PACKAGES. FROM HIZON'S CATERING"

BWAhahahaha. i wanted to hit my head on the wall. what a way to announce that you're getting married. so because we had to report to Ms. Beth about the program we're doing (she's our tester, and she sits around the same area as sir Gerald), it was like feeding fresh meat to the chismis lions.. while we were in their area, after the discussion, ms. Beth goes "SO, ANO YUNG nabalitaan ko. ikakasal ka ba? at SIR ka na ngayon!" (hahaha bwiset na caterer, hindi ako kukuha sa kanila! lol!!!) so we were like slowly backing out of their area while ms. Beth, ms. Reina and ms.Marivic (not our boss, another Marivic) kept asking us about it. back at OUR area, i realized that we had to submit a report to ms. Beth and pangs said to me: "Sure ka, gusto mong bumalik dun?" (lol) i bravely went back, and it was a riot after that. to make a long story short, they were very excited for me (with matching kilig squeals especially when i showed the ring) and they were like "si raymond? yung raymond naten?!" (ni hindi man lng nila alam ata na KAMI eh hahaha) well i think, ms. Beth got less mataray around Raymond after that so that's good, right?

anyway, thanks so much for all your well wishes.. teka davis, ano blog url mo? tinanong ko na dati sila pasqui, reich, etc. alang meh alam.. i know you gave it to me last time, i just can't remember.. pabasa naman! hoy reich. LOL. katawa blog mo haha. and ate cha.. UMUWI KA UH langya ka.

'til then. i'll tell you all about the exciting and wonderful world of caterers next time. bwahahahaa.

...it's official

System Time: 7:33 PM

i'm officially engaged!!!!!! we were just sitting at a bench at the yosihan when pangs just pulled this beaauuuuutiful box out of his pocket and told me to hold it with my right hand. he then opened the box and pulled out a ribbon and proceeded to tie this around my ring finger..he then pulled out the rest of the ribbon from the box and at the end was the ring.. MY ring! of course, it didn't work the way he planned (it was supposed to slide directly to my finger, LOL) but still, you just don't mind the little stuff in a big moment like this..

/me happy sigh.

so pangs is not my bf anymore. he's my fiancee. wow. what a word. just typing it gives me butterflies in my stomach. now i know what "nervous and excited" feels like.. pangs told me to search "ann gretchen espinosa" on google and click the i'm feeling lucky button.. i got a big laugh out of that.. hehe.. which reminds me.. i have to update that blog.. we've been talking about marrying for quite some time now, since last year, but it's just this 31st of january did he formally propose to me..i keep looking at my left hand.. and everytime i see my ring, i feel so excited that all i wanna do is go to food tastings of every single caterer here in manila, LOL! i'm excited about THE wedding but also with the thought that next year, i'll be spending my lifetime with my pangs..

ilysssssm!

ps. just read erlyn and reich's comments on my last blog. galing nyo LOL!!!!

...uber-time

i've been working for almost 15 hours a day since i started at Pramerica last Monday.. it's extremely tiring, and at times i want to jump out from the 34th floor and scream "bakit ba ako bumalikkk!?" but i always try to focus on "the goal"... i think about how i can now see my pangs everyday and how much money we're earning through our heavy OT (hehe)

last sunday, my cousin Kuya Ding got married. and of course, there's the bouquet toss where no one wants to join in.. and the one who doesn't want to even "touch" the bouquet GETS it. i feel like i'm a bouquet magnet.. i never, ever want to be the one who gets it.. it's embarassing and so corny.. but last sunday, i just KNEW i'll be the one to catch it. i even stayed at the very back of the pack but as Jane (the bride) tossed the flowers, i could see that the angle and velocity of the bouquet would fall directly on my hands (LOL.) .. or my head..... i got the latter.

anyway, gotta get back to work.. it's 11:02 PM and as kuya germs says "WALANG TULUGAN!!"

*thinks about the money*

bye all!

...return of the comeback

My post yesterday, January 18,2005

System Time: 3:20 PM
I'm back in Pramerica! Yep, i don't know if it's the right decision to make, but one thing I'm sure of, is that it made my Pangs happy, so I'm happy as well ^_^ .. My contract's just up to March but we get plenty of OT so i'm hoping to save up. Mario just decided to resign out of the blue so they needed a replacement ASAP, so I'm back! anyway, things have been great (i got a lot of enthusiastic "YOu're back!" from the pramerica people so they made me feel right at home hehe..i'm preparing myself for the looong long hours in the office (our sked's 7am-10ish pm) but it's still soo difficult to get up when the sun isn't even shining yet and it's soo cold that all you wanna do is snuggle your pillow and dream away.. plus, i've received new website projects that of course, i can't turn down, so i have NO IDEA have i would fit THAT to my schedule.. i'm supposed to be submitting some layouts to my Tita Penny today or tomorrow. *sighs*.. hope i'll be able to go home earlier today..(sbi nga nila pangs.. "subukan mo!" lol) at least i could go back to blogging, and to earning (hehe)..

List of Things to Do:
1. Email Clive re Sharepoint site
2. Tita Penny's layouts

..wow, free internet!

i've been going to EQ Group's office at PhilamLife Tower for the past couple of days, (will still be tomorrow) and working on their sharepoint site here. It's a very quiet office, except 1. Clive, Greg and Allan (another partner) are laughing on something only they understand and 2. When Clive, Greg and Allan are gone and Joy and Grace are left by themselves, gossiping about their bosses.

anyway, just wanted to take advantage of the free net and blog something however mundane.

clive: "your sister reckons you work on this around 1 or 2 in the morning"
me: "the net's faster around that time"
clive: "your sister also reckons you sleep the whole day"
me: *sheepish look* "ehehe"

langyang kapatid yan.

pangs helped me (hehe, as usual, *mwaaaah*) install xp to this super slow computer so he spent the morning here in the EQ office.. the only thing good about going to Makati is being able to see him everyday. Aside from that, wala na!

ps:
mom texted me this message this morning: "When a child turns down her mother, an angel in heaven mourns.

hihi. bye all

...2005 na!

i'm pretty damn psyched about 2005..but before that, another late update.

1. my mom hasn't been talking to me since december 29 (my sister's birthday).. i'm feeling a teeny bit sad about it ('cause she IS my mother) but you have to keep an open mind about these things..i've come to realize (since the silent treatment) that the only time my mother talks to me is when she's about to scold me about stuff.. so i've been living a reaaaally quiet life since that day. also, another perk is i only have to ask permission from ONE parent for everything..now isn't THAT a perk or what! my ate chary keeps on bugging me to apologize 'cause its SHE who is suffering the consequences... like example, i think they were watching "The Buzz" and think it was Sheryl Cruz or something who had a feud with her mother and then my mom said to Ate Chary: Ang mga anak talaga, wala nang galang sa Ina nila, wala ng respeto, blah blah blah or something like that so Ate Chary just stood up and walked far, far away from her. At least, now that she doesn't talk to me, it's not gonna be MY problem.

2. we did our usual rounds last christmas, first at Caloocan, then in Sta.Mesa. Poor Howell, got defective toys (or is it his karma?) while Raffy, his little brother got the fully functional ones. my pamangkins at my Father's side are all growing up soooo fast that i feel so old already. (shit, 24 na ko..it's soo.. un-teenagish)

3. Ate Ging's back (don't know if that's good or bad news) but the good news is her pasalubongs! bwahahaha! she got me a smashbox palette (weehee), an authentic, chicago bulls cap (which has a tag, "Made in the Philippines"), a super cute (and feminine) clutch bag, Gap Lipgloss, and (drum roll pleaseeee) a CSI Las Vegas shirt!!!
me: Ate ateeeee! san mo nabili tong t-shirt?
ate: (gives me a weird look) edi sa Las Vegas.
me: ay. onga ano. nakalimutan kong pumunta ka dun eh.

bwahahah! just looooooooove that shirt.

4. my cousins(mother side) and I went to Red Box (GB3) and we got the Billiards room and it was a riot.... my cousins are.. well, they're a pretty loud bunch. plus my pamangkins Miguel (a 5 year old who sang his own rendition of She Will Be Loved) and Chin-Chin (Don't Cry Out Loud).. i love videoke. it just makes everyone gutsier.

before i go, a cry out to Ate Charol, Chekay and Erlyn. hey guys. common, keep blogging okay.. where are you guys? TG for bibeduck whose blogs i aaaalways look forward to.

and my pangs.. who posted this amaaaazing blog about his year and how i wish i could forge it and post it in my own blog.. i love you so much.. this year is OUR YEAR and i'm soooo looking forward to spending it with you. sorry if i'm sometimes incommunicable but i am pleading on your unending pag-iintindi to me.. ilysmmp! mnmnk!

...meh hipon aku..huhuhu

that's supposed to be "sipon" but everytime i speak it, it comes sounding like hipon..(though i did have shrimp for lunch)... i know i haven't been blogging, but there's not much to tell anyway.. i've been mostly staying at home, except last weekend where i helped mom with her bazaar and mostly manned her booth.. Raymond also helped me, for the first 2 days (for which i am eternally grateful.. i love you pangs!) 'cause my mom had parties to attend to (my mom has a better social life than i have).. i did saw Tenten last Friday at Megamall.. i texted her and told her to drop by our tiangge and she did more than just that.. she even bought 6 oatmeal brownies from me! yey! i guess i don't show it, but i really enjoy selling and helping my mom in her business... it's a different feeling of fulfillment when you see the stuff you made are actually appreciated and bought by some people..my head's full of ideas now, and i really want to make mom's business bigger and better..

anyway, i'm online cause i have to start modifying the eqgroup sharepoint site.. but then i found out that i need Frontpage 2003 for me to configure it fully.. grrrr.. oh yeah, pasko na pala this saturday.. i had just finished wrapping my presents for my inaanaks (there are only 3 of them) and i'm still in the process of wrapping the other gifts to my radix officemates.. i'm attending their Christmas party tomorrow.. sumali pa nga ako sa exchange gift nila eh (bwhahaha kapal ano) pero di ko kilala yung nabunot ko.. it's a guy and i just bought some shoe bag and a towel from Human for him (150 worth daw eh).. since i started working, i don't get excited anymore when it's christmas time 'cause it only meant one thing to me.. GASTOS! waaah. it's not for the PAL type of person..(palamunin).. sabi nga nila, ang Pasko ay para sa bata.. i just don't enjoy it anymore..especially this christmas, wala na si lola.. (/me tingin sa taas)

on a happy note, ate ging's going back tomorrow! i do miss her ( and envy her! she got to watch Maroon 5 on concert! waaah), it's kinda sad when we eat out and i automatically tell the waitress "for 5 po" then i say.. "ayy! 4 lang pala kami".. plus, i wanna tell ate ging something.. siya na lang hindi nakakaalam sa family eh hihihi..i still have to buy a christmas present for her pala.. i already bought mom's (a Red Earth All Around Concealer.. she kept on using my Cinema Secrets one) and Ate Chary's (Maybelline Forever Metallics Lipstick and EyeBrow Duo).. i didn't buy Ate ging's present yet 'cause she can be quite picky so i'm gonna buy hers at Essences or Beauty Bar in Makati..baka sapukin ako nun pagbinigyan ko ng Maybelline, harharhar..

i took this quiz pangs linked me to..

Which OS are You?

paalam muna, have a merry christmas!

p.s.
pangs ko, mnmnmnk!

...one really, really, reaaally lazy dude

okay. so the title's me. i'm supposed to be in Makati today and yesterday for my meeting with Clive and Greg but i had to cancel it yesterday so i supposedly moved it today and tomorrow BUT i dunno what's with me (or is it just my lovely, fluffy pillow) that i seem to have trouble getting off my bed. i had my alarm on so when it turned on around 6:30 am.. it just took me exactly 2 seconds to shut it up and go back to sleep.. i dreamt that i was already taking a shower, putting on clothes, then i heard my cellphone ringing. in reality, i was still in my bed (don't you just HATE those kind of dreams... pinapaasa ka na nakatayo ka na! grrrrr) and salivating my pillow (ugh).. it was my pangs who i know is sooo pissed at me (that's the main reason i blogged this blog) for being the lazy person that i am...waah i can't help it. waking up is suuuch a hassle. i really don't know how i'm supposed to find a job next year if i keep this up. arrrggh. I just emailed them (Greg and Clive) and told them that i can do it in the comforts of my own home (plus i don't want to go there and spend the day installing all the software that i need) and have something to show them by the end of the week.

and pangs.. waaah please don't be angry at me (or whatever word you want to describe your mood now).. did you know that i already met his mother and his sister? i was so drastically nervous at first but his mother kept on smiling at me and his sister was downright nice that i had no problem swallowing the food that i was eating..(that was my fear, that i would be so nervous that i wouldn't be able to eat) and his friends are cool and you could see their personality already.. wilson's the loud one, romeo's the quiet one, and ame.. well i haven't really seen that much from him but he seems to be the "dramatic" one..(he had a fight with his gf)

anyway, pangsssss.. i keep on disappointing you.. and i'm so sorry! it's just the way i am i guess,.. lazy, papalit-palit ng isip, sleepaholic.. but i'm not changing my mind next year.. nope, never! i just hope that you feel the same way still. i'll somehow make it up to you,..okay? ILYsm!
