...our non-existent house
Was able to look around at the For Sale houses in our village yesterday.. tinamaan na naman ako ng tamad blues eh, kaya ndi ako pumasok.. I hoped to give you better news, but they are really over-priced and in dire need of repairs.. living in the bundoks, (hehe) you basically have 2 kinds of lot areas.. ones which are palubog.. and ones that are pataas.. of course you want the pataas lot ‘cause 1. no worries with water drainage 2.usually comes with a fantastic view.. we were able to see 2 palubog and 1 pataas lot.. the houses were basically the same, dilapidated state.. prefab walls which give you no idea how to improve them (does this mean we have to tear the whole wall down to put a window on it?) I really liked the pataas lot but was absurdly pricey at 1M when the house was more dilapidated than the other 2.. it had no kitchen (tinanggal yung sink).. the CR had a broken toilet bowl (as in basag) and the roof.. well.. the roof needs to be fully replaced.. but in fairness, it had a really great view and.. ahm.. well, it’s 240sq.m, so it’s pretty spacious.. (yun na lang maisip kong maganda sa kanya) pero sabi nga ni Pangs.. we must be open to the fact that the prices have gone up and this might really be their market value.. COGEO is a lot nearer than all the new villages …the roads are cemented, meh NAWASA water and has this ambiance that you can only get from the mountains.. breezy, colder than the usual metro manila weather, with still a lot of trees around (in short, bundok na bundok hehe) .. I texted Ms. Miriam (the agent) if she could ask for a much lower price pero yun na daw talaga yun. Hmpft. <bitch mode> Dapat meh commission ako sa kanya, uh, ako nagturo kela Anshe sa COGEO. Double hmpft. Speaking of Anshe, I’m so happy na taga-Antipolo na rin sila. Hihihi. Syempre mega imagine na ako na we’ll have kids with the same age, have cookouts, parties, etc. *clap, clap*
Now only if we can find our house.

...bluesy tuesday
Had my second fitting (wow, 2nd already!) at Tet’s place.. also brought with me my entourage (though kulang ng 2 SS, wala si TP and my insan Gracie) … clarize, my niece was very PRO at it, a bit OC in fact.. (she’s only 7 years old) this being her like nth time to be a flower girl.. when she saw the design (the top was just sleeveless) she tried hiding her frown but she couldn’t help herself and then said to Tet:
“pwede po bang mas sexy?”
lol! I asked Tet if she could make it a tube top, Tet didn’t agree but suggested to make it spaghetti straps instead.. when we agreed on the top.. clarize said to Tet
“yung palda po covered ba?”
she was referring to her shoes, kung covered daw ba ng palda.. gusto daw nya ganon.. bweheheh! Galing talaga! Her mom said that if she really loves her dress, todo-project daw siya eh. If flower girls are for hire, she can be a real pro. Nina was there (my cousin, ka-age ko), Akel, and my other flower girl, Eloisa. Eloi was a bit shy, understandably, ‘cause she was surrounded by a lot of new people (she’s 5 years old) but I still have confidence in her that she’ll walk on the aisle with little hassle.. (gosh, the pressure I’m putting on these girls, hehe) my fitting is better than the last time (though Tet asked if I lost more weight. HUHUHUH) I put on a petticoat and I was really feeling my gown more this time (even with the lining only) .. oct 1st is my third fitting.. I’ll be able to see the actual lace that would be used so I’m nervous and excited at the same time..i hope Tet meets my expectations.. (and my mother’s! whose expectations are waay higher than mine)
about the house search.. hayyy. It just keeps on getting more difficult than ever to find a decent, cheap house. Everything’s all 1.3M or 1.2M for a 240sq.m with a dilapidated house. (and I do mean dilapidated) sobra naman sila, halos lupa lang ang binibili mo nun eh dahil wala ng kavalue-value yung bahay. Haaay. Syempre, we’ll just continue looking and really hope in the heavens that we’ll be able to find one. ( it just really is testing because it feels like all we encounter are dead ends.

...feeling rich weekend
Just realized last Saturday that that will be our first and last anniversary as bf-gf… hehehe.. next time, it’ll be our wedding anniversary.. so…. the kwento…
I made reservations for us at Top of The Citi… (34th floor, Citibank Paseo) remember that Pangs and I are officemates (magkatalikuran lang kami ng work-area) so I had to be very discreet when I talk to them or fax them.. I wanted Pangs to really be touched (hehe) because of my preparations for our anniv so I asked them if they have some sort of cake that they can place in our table.. I was imagining all that mushy candlelit stuff and I wanted the works! It’s a good thing that Ms.Kathleen, my contact at Top of the Citi was more than accommodating.. she said: “Yes, Ma’am.. slice ng cake tapos sa plate nakasulat yung words na gusto nyo”.. syempre “Happy Anniversary” lang maisip ko.. I also ordered flowers online through islandrose.net.. just half a dozen with a note.. ultra-cool to be able to buy flowers on the net and have them delivered anywhere in the Philippines.. I asked ms.Kathleen again if she could receive the flowers for me and put it on our table.. by Wednesday, everything was all set.. Thursday, I asked Ms.Eloi (pramerican, sales training dept) how much it would cost for me to book a room at either Linden Suites or Astoria Plaza.. imagine, just 2500/night.. so I asked if she could book a room for me and to keep it a secret from Raymond.. she agreed, of course…. Friday morning I was so excited. Supahh dupahh excited. (I was thinking about the breakfast buffet at the Linden Suites more than anything else, hehe) Around 5:30 pm, I called Top of the Citi and asked Ms.Kathleen if everything was okay.. she said “Andito na po ang flowers!” I thought it already came in a vase (sa picture sa site nila, nakalagay eh) but it didn’t so I asked her if she could put it in a vase or something and also informed her that we might be a little early than my 7:00 reservation.. By 6:00 I received a text from Ms.Kathleen and she said:
“Ma’am Geri, hindi po bagay sa vase yung flowers eh. Nilagay ko na lang po sa table nyo.”
I said “that’s ok. Excited na ako!!” (hindi ko napigilan sarili ko eh, wala akong mapagkwentuhan eh!!)
She said: “hehehe! See you po!”
By 6:10 I was bugging Raymond for us to go home.. (ang tagal nya uh) I asked him if we could go to Citibank so I could pay my CashBack card.. he was like (“ang tagal namang matapos yang CashBack mo!”) I couldn’t pay my CashBack kasi at any other place (even online) kasi new card and everything so laging hassle samen to pay it, we had to walk like 10 blocks from Enterprise Building going to Citibank Paseo.. but this isn’t anything new to him so he wasn’t a least bit suspicious.. he was asking me kung ano plans namin and he confessed to me later that he did thought for a second that I didn’t have ANYthing planned.. after paying my bill, eto na.. bwahaha I didn’t know how to get to Top of Citi so sinabi ko na rin keh Pangs.. (tuwang-tuwa siya, apparently, he also thought of getting reservations there. Kuno. Lol!) so the guard told us to go to the adjacent building and up we went to the 34th floor.. when we got there, I said “Reservation for Geri Espinosa?” and I honestly believe that the waiter gave me some sort of secret smile, hehe.. at the table, paupo na ako nung napansin ko na sa side ko nakalagay yung flowers and cake, so biglang sabi ko “ayyy pangs, dito ka!!” tas palit kami ng upuan. Ang slow ni Pangs, ndi pa napansin yung flowers kagad, lol.. nung napansin nya finally, binasa nya yung Note ko, it said:
Surprise! Kala mo wala akong prinipare ano! Bwahahah! Syempre, ako pa? Remember nung nag Sonya’s Garden tayo one year ago? One hell of an adventure dahil nagcommute lang tayu papunta at pabalik! I’m looking forward to many more years of adventure with you. Happy Anniversary! I love you so, so, so much! -à
Geri
tas ayun na, tuwang-tuwa na ang lolo mo.. HIHIHIHI. Pramis, parang nanalo sa lotto hehe! (okay, exaggeration ng konti, basta, okay, nanalo lang sa mini-raffle)

while reading the note
tapos hindi parin nya napapansin yung cake!! Tinanggal ko pa yung Menu tas ayun.. here’s the cake:

grabe, feeling rich kami hahaha! It was a good thing I remembered something at a movie that said “start using utensils from the outside and work your way in” for this is the very first time that I ate at a fine dining restaurant.. I would just looove to say to you that everything was perfect, but frankly, the food wasn’t exceptional, lol! It was okay, masarap yung appetizer and dessert.. but the atmosphere wasn’t at all snobbish.. the staff was great and very accommodating.. they indulged us to our picture taking frenzy and everyone was greeting us a Happy Anniversary..

pangs ko, this has really been the BEST weekend of my life. No exaggeration. I love you so much! Sa uulitin! Hehe! (3/4s puno na alkantsa namin ng 5 pesos, bwehehe, pwede ng pang-Linden! Lol!)

...samo't sari
It’s my sister’s birthday today.. (kabertdei nya si Mama Mary…it doesn’t show, though hehe) so Pangs and I bought her CDs.. the new albums of Coldplay and Lifehouse.. hope she likes it (and sana wala pa siya) ..
Uyyyy wala na si Jordis sa Rockstar INXS.. yahoo! Don’t like her eh (obvious?).. I’m rooting for Mig (nationalistic reasons) and Marty (really like him a lot!)
Malapit na anniversary namin (sa sept. 10)! Kanina, binili ko na rin ng anniv gift si Pangs, yung book na ‘blink” by I forgot who.. I frankly don’t know what it’s about, eh yun ang gusto nya eh edi ibigay! Lol! Meh surprise ako sa kanya eh, secret na lng muna (nagbabasa yun ng blog ko eh) so pangs, sorry, you just have to wait and see. (
Meh bago rin pala akong book.. trying to complete the books of Jane Green.. I bought Babyville.. yehey, meh babasahin ulit ako.
Salamat pala sa mga nagcomment sa previous blog ko, super entertaining and informative hehe! Iisip pa nga ako ng iba para maupdate ang To do list ko.
Kain na ko meryenda. I’m so hungry. Bye all!

...my to-do list
Since everyone’s doing a wedding checklist, I’m going to make my own “Married Life Checklist”
Things to do before getting married:
Did I forget anything else?
Things to do before getting married:
- Learn how to cook (already cooked twice, many more recipes to go)
- Learn how to smile even when you’re extremely irritated already
- Buy a whole set of undies (‘cause Ate Pretz’ mother said, “nung kinasal na ako, ni sariling panty, ndi na ako makabili!” lol!)
- Learn to make my own bed every morning (bwehehe)
- Get my driver’s license, Transcript of Records and Diploma. (yep, I still don’t have them)
- Buy my own clothes (no more borrowing from my sisters)
- Have a girls night out
- Learn to budget my money (uh-oh)
- Buy cosmetic items in bulk (lotions, shampoo, make-up, etc, E T C! hehe)
- Learn to recognize tawilis, tamban, galunggong, bangus when buying in a market.
- Learn the parts of a pig and what part goes to what dish. (pahirap na ng pahirap uh)
- Learn to live in Lucky Me instant Noodles. (hehehe joke lng, pangs)
- Buy an alarm clock that’s unbreakable, irritatingly loud and squirts water. (or just learn to wake up early)
- Learn how to wake up in the middle of the night to brush my teeth and pretend that I just happen to have minty fresh breath in the morning.
- Prepare myself to become selfless and become ala Chris of Jon-Chris in the Amazing Race (so chirpy and happy always!)
Did I forget anything else?

...wedding expo day
see my update on the right side.. we finally have a florist and it's going to be Lala of Interplay! well recommended by Yna and Mai (fellow w@wies).. so grateful to them 'cause they introduced us to Lala, who is such a darling.. we felt great while talking to her, plus she was the only one who suggested red for my entou flowers which i really want! everyone else we talked disagreed with us it's not going to be good, blah blah.. Lala, on the other hand, suggested straight away when i said i wanted a color that would contrast my entou's gowns (they would be wearing lime green and yellow) that Red would be perfect for them. I agreed of course, hehe. I said, I wanted no other color except Red for them.. I really want the flowers to look dramatic on the pictures, so Red is super OK for me.
Anyway, we had so much fun at the Expo. Finally met mama Benz (of weddingsatwork.com) and introduced myself.. i said "Mama Benz Hi! I'm Geri and this is Raymond" then she said: "ooohhh, Geri Gewi!" hehe. I was so happy when she said that 'cause it means she recognizes my name through my posts. Also saw many wowies there, Liv & Ruy..pambungad kagad, paglabas namin ng taxi.. she also recognized me, probably from my pics here (she said: "Jeri ni Raymond!")..Dionne ni Joven (she said to me, "Are you Jeri?.. hehe) Mai, Yna, Cindy, Tin ni Archie, Concon (and ang kanyang iniirog), Mec crazylovers, and Alice who i didn't know was a wowie.. we were face to face (hehe) while filling up some raffle tickets.. i immediately recognized her and said unabashedly, "scholastican ka, dba?" then she said "yep, anong batch mo?" so i said I'm a level lower than hers and said "ndi ba Student council ka?" and she said.."Yep, president" hehehe! kaya pala kilala ko diba, president nga pala namin! Her sister's the one who's my batchmate but I don't think we were ever classmates so I'm not sure If she knows me, probably sa face lang. anyway, chika-chika dun at w@wie pala siya tas kwentuhan how their preps are going. katuwa talagang magkwentuhan about preps.. Back at the expo, we booked Wings of Dreams (they had an amaaaazing offer of 2.3k for 100 butterflies, free delivery 'cause i'm a w@wie and they come in individual envelopes)..plus factor pa na si Mariel (the owner, i think) was super accomodating and friendly and hyper! ooh, and we won sa mini raffle nila, 2 shopping bags from Linden Suites.. katawa nga si Pangs eh.. sabi nya "wow Linden Suites!" tas sabi ko "Gagi, bag lang" hahaha! but they were very useful 'cause we were a bit problematic how we were going to carry our things since i brought my wedding preps clearbook just in case i might need it (and i was able to use it, i showed some of the flowers i wanted to Lala) so the bags came in very handy..
we also talked to Judy Uson, she's her usual amiable self and we simply adooore her, we love talking to her and she obliged us in a sec when we said we brought our cameras to take a photo with her but there was a "no cameras" rule at the expo but she waived it off and said "common, let's take a photo!" (will upload that v.soon).. got a taste of her famous carrot walnut cake with cream cheese, all i have to say is i am now definitely a fan of carrot walnut cake. who would have thought? even pangs loved it.

with ms. judy and all her wonderful cakes
we were so tired after the expo, but our wedding errands always lift our mood. maybe it's the excitement of the wedding, or because it's like retail therapy, or simply because we love spending time with each other outside work. It's such a relief talking about other things aside from our program errors, project analysis, etc.
teka, maggigisa na ako para sa lumpiang ubod. bwahahah, feeling chef na ako.
Her sister's the one who's my batchmate but I don't think we were ever classmates so I'm not sure If she knows me, probably sa face lang. anyway, chika-chika dun at w@wie pala siya tas kwentuhan how their preps are going. katuwa talagang magkwentuhan about preps.. ...first time cook
did i say in my previous post that cooking Adobong Sitaw would be a cinch? Only I can make it complicated. So I woke up that saturday morning early.. around 8 am.. I was thinking.. uh-oh, cooking day today.. at 9 am I was ready to start.. so the recipe i got from pinoycook said 1/4 liempo.. so I removed the liempo from the ref (defrosted already) then my Dad butted in and said
"ano yan! bakit liempo! giniling lang!!"
i said "eeeeeeeeh dadiiii sabi sa recipe LIEMPO okay.. liempo gagamitin ko"
tas sabi ni dadi: "ano yan, adobong baboy with sitaw!?"
i said: "recipe ko toh, ok?"
basta, ang kulit ni daddy.. kabado din ata sa pagluluto ko hehe! (meh narinig pa akong magsasayang lang daw ako ng liempo, eh iihawin pa daw nya yun)
anyway, i proceeded with chopping the liempo to chunks and here's what the recipe said..(taken from pinoycook.net)
Place liempo cubes in a single layer in a non-aluminum skillet. Pour vinegar over them. Add crushed garlic, peppercorns, onion & bay leaf. Set skillet over high heat. Bring to a boil. Cook until vinegar has evaporated and the pork starts rendering fat. Cook pork in its fat until brown. Pour off fat from skillet. Add onions and cook until limp. Pour in soy sauce and 1/2cup of water. Bring to a boil. Lower heat, cover and simmer until pork is tender, about 30 minutes. Check liquid once in a while while pork is simmering. Add more water if mixture becomes dry, about 1/4 c. at a time.
When pork is tender, add sitaw. Cover and continue simmering for another 10 mins or until sitaw is done. Serve hot.
okay, so i read on and did the following:
1. placed liempo in skillet (now that i think about it, it was an aluminum skillet)
2. added vinegar
3. added soy sauce
4. put to a boil
5. added garlic
6. added onions
then i read the recipe again. oh shit! ndi pa pala yung toyo! anakng. ahmm.. watodo, watodo.. so i just continued boiling it.. and scrapped out a whole lot in the recipe talking about draining the fat, etc.. just added water constantly for 30 minutes until the pork became tender..wahaha.. so kabado na ako nito..while waiting, i looked at some of our pinoy recipe books at the Adobo section and hinahalo naman kagad nila so i thought, pwede pa siguro ito. Then i added the sitaw. lecheng sitaw ayaw magkalasa. LOL! at ang tagal maging limp uh. hay. ang tagal kong hinintay maluto nun, sabi 10 mins lng daw, malapit na ata sa 20 yun nung okay na siya for me. bwehehe.
nung tinikman ni pangs, okay daw! hahaha. (kasi sasapukin ko siya kung hindi!) i even photographed the moment (to follow) para maalala ko at mapressure siyang ngumiti sa camera. ehehe.
hehe, told ya pinikturan ko talaga!

posing muna bago kumain.. oh, hinga ng malalim

takes a big bite!

approve daw!! haha! yahoo!!
enganyo ako.. kanina nagprito ako itlog tinuran pa ako ni dadi palpak din ang sunny side up namin (naging scrambled) hehe.. luluto ulit ako ngayon for dinner.. lumpiang ubod naman! fried! gudluck ulit sa ken.
p.s.
thanks to mec, naiinspire ako magluto. bwehehehe.

...mixed emotions
I’m so giddy (never thought I’d use this word. Ever) with excitement. I’m on my squirm-mode again and I can’t help it! It’s a wedding expo weekend! A huuuuge wedding expo at that! Last attended the expo last March and we were there just browsing ‘cause our wedding was 10 months away then. Now, it’s much, much more exciting ‘cause it’s gonna be booking time! Wohooo! We hope to book our florist there.. and some butterflies..and some pastries.. hehe, halo-halo! If we’re lucky maybe even a cheap invites supplier.. (to go inside our box) plus, I’ll be able to finally get my w@wie tag and t-shirt! Yehey! Also, I will be cooking lunch for pangs tomorrow! BWAHAHAHAHA! My first time to cook anything. Well, not since highschool.. we did have cooking classes, but I was more of a designated dishwasher, hehe.. TG for his simple pleasures.. his favorite dish happens to be Adobong Sitaw so I’m hoping that would be fairly easy.. (bwahah, but knowing me, I would find a way to complicate things).. hay, good luck sa akin.

Grrr. There’s a major glitch in our house-to-be.. turns out the title of the house is named after the mother so she really is the owner and we were only talking to the daughter of the owner.. when we agreed on the terms, we thought we were talking to the person who has the right to negotiate for the house and lot.. now, the mother doesn’t want our terms (500k dp, balance to be paid for 3 years) and wants 1M cash. Like who the f**k has 1M in cash?! Sobra. Eh kung meh 1M cash ako bat ako bibili sa COGEO of all places. Pagniloan naman namen yun, patay kami sa interest. Nakakabaaaaaad trip. Wala naman pala karapatang makipagusap samen yung anak eh bakit siya nagmamarunong. Hmpft. And we really want that house pa naman. We’ve been dreaming of how we would redecorate it and passing by it every night after work. Huhuhuhu. It sucks. Now we’re back to square 1 in our hunt for our home. Sige, work muna ako..i’m supposed to produce an EXE for testing next week. Bye all!

...scary siyet
Hmmm… First of all, this is MY blog so I can write anything I want here… so anyway, I was browsing through the groups this morning and I was weirded out by a few posts with a title “To All W@wies: On Respect”.. They were talking about something Jacque wrote.. from the tone of their posts, a lot of them were pissed. As in, really pissed. Someone even said Jacque should apologize, so after reading that, I was now extremely confused. Is this the Jacque that I’ve met and whose blog I frequently read? It couldn’t be, probably another Jacque, ‘cause there is another w@wie Jacque.. anyway, I was getting curious by the minute (they were very passionate posts, you know!) but Mama Benz (owner of the yahoogroup) said that the email was already deleted. I only read posts through the groups website so I was a bit dismayed… then I remembered my geri@officiallyus.com email that I’ve recently subscribed to the group so I quickly looked for the controversial post there. Aha. Nakita ko. Si Jacque nga ni Simon. After reading her post, my first reaction was “WatDa?” Akala ko mabait. Nameet ko sa EB yun, uh. (sa Kitchen) hmmmmm. It was disturbing, really. Then after I’ve thought about it, really, it’s okay to have subgroups. Sa dami naman ng members ng w@w, syempre maggugrupo-grupo nga yun, and there’s really nothing wrong about that. What’s wrong is talking about others behind their backs and feeling superior about it. It’s like Mean Girls on print! I feel bad about other w@wies mentioned in the email, it’s like they’re now associated with the Mean Girl group when they’re not at all mean. They’re friendly and I really like them (especially Mai ni Paul, love her!). Now I’ll always be wondering when I meet her if she’s saying something about me in their little group. I always read her blog pa naman. Maybe I’m a groupie. Bwahahahah! anyway, I’m sure she could scrap that one in her “Lessons Learned” list. (Read the To: line first before sending anything) hmm.. sana yung iba kong fave bloggers, hindi ganun. I even have a this weird feeling about one of them (uh-oh, ayan, nagaassociate na ako!) ‘cause she blatantly ignores my post. Secret na lang kung sino. At first, I thought I was like just paranoid, but after 3 posts with her name on the Subject line and I got NO reply, I was like,.. ah-hmm.. ignored ako? (Ignored talaga, ‘cause she replied every single email except mine) Hehe! Hindi ko na lang pinansin until now. I’m a bit bothered about it, ‘cause, you have to ask yourself, “what did I do?” and I’ve got this annoying habit of wanting to please others all the time and I’m not the type of person who can say “Bahala siya sa buhay nya”. I’m really affected by petty stuff like that, wanting to please everyone, it’s such a weakness of mine. Haaaay, just venting. Complaining is a release, you know. Anyway, as Benz said, back to preps na lang! It’s much more beneficial talking about the difference between Artbook and Magnetic Book, anyway. Hehe. Or blog-hopping at other people’s preps. Though I’d probably stop commenting in her blog. Nyaiks, madalas pa naman ako magcomment. Bwahaha. Scary.
I still can’t believe it! 0_0 what if I see her at the wedding Expo this weekend, what do I do? Ahh I know, magpi-peace sign na lang ako, para masaya ang lahat. ^_^
p.s.
Just read jacque’s apology sa yahoogroup. My two cents? Let’s just say, she wrote everything that I expected her to.

I’m never going to ALTER TABLE ever in my life. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Or something worse, like getting laughed at by Felix the bwiset. I needed to alter my table but I know I’d hafto drop it and re-create the table but my oh-so-helpful Pangs said “ay pwedeng magAlter-Table sa 8.2 .. *wapaks* Wow, pagOK button ko eh wuuuuuuuuushh. Vanishing act ang aking views. I almost threw a tantrum and cried on the carpet. 11 freaking views were missing and I have no backup. (pinagalitan pa ako ni Pangs.. grrrr) good thing nagbabackup pala ng Development Server. And Friggin Felix was laughing. GRRRR.
So, MORAL lesson learned. Generate your DDLs, AND if shortcuts feel that they’re too good to be true, they probably are.

last sunday was my Lola's birthday.. my family and I went there (caloocan) for lunch.. low and behold, my prodigal cousin arrived.. we were inside the house when Tito Meynard (one of our ninongs) called to us and said.."Andito na pinsan nyong sikat!" hehehe.
Ian's my peeeeeeeeeeeeeyborit pinsan. probably because when we had gatherings such as last sunday, we were the ones who were usually talking stuff about anything other than life, you know?
i posted about him way back last May here.. here's what i said:
System Time: 1:38 PM
yesterday my dad and i went to taytay to get our cousin's basketball goal.. they're migrating to Canada and so they gave the goal to us.. (it's fiberglass with a 10-feet post).. i really wanted to go with him 'cause i was hoping to see my cousin, Ian, before they leave the country. He's my favorite cousin in Dad's side.. simply because he's a rocker like me and he's always interesting to talk to.. i'm like 4 years (or more, i think?) older than him but i don't feel the difference..i don't know if he's the mature one or i'm the childish one.. whatever it is, i will be missing him. :~(
good luck, Tito Ardi and Tita Cindy! pakabait ka Ian! *wapaks*
it was great seeing him again, but sad too 'cause he'll be leaving around October again.. i really hoped he will be here in time for my Wedding, but i guess, i can't have everything.. he isn't even supposed to be here in Manila, he's just being delinquent and insisting on going home to see his GF.. (he keeps on denying it, yun naman talaga dahilan!) you're so lovestruck, bwehehehe. i guess Tito Ardi, his father, thought Ian would instantly like Canada once he set foot on it... now he really has to go back or Tito Ardi will be monumentally pissed..overstaying na nga siya sa September so Tita Cindy (her mother) had to write at their Embassy that all flights to Canada are fully booked til October so Ian's like on a waiting list..
anyway, hope we'll still be able to go out before he goes back (hoping to see The GF, too. hihihi.).. here's me and Ian at our lola's house:

and us kids.. ate ging, me, Ian, Clarize(my flower girl) and my one and only Pangs!

...post from Word
OMG, this is the coolest thing since ahmm... blogging! Hehe blogging through Word that is.. so fun! I can actually (oops auto correct yung “i” ko hihihihi) not use my browser to blog! This is sooo coooool! (pansin ulit yung auto correct na capital letter).. okay, maybe not so cool ‘cause Word keeps on capitalizing my letters, hehe.. talon talon (whatdaaaa ginawang BOLD ng Word yung word between my “*”.. try ko ulit * talon talon * .. ayan, dapat pala meh space, hahaha. Kakaloka. * tries to ignore the capital K * bweheheh.. pwede rin kaya picture? Hmm.. lemme try..
I tried uploading one of <a href=”http:// http://www.livejournal.com/users/aggietha/”> Aggie’s</a> set-up sa church nya.. not supported daw, hmpft, lang wents!
Anyway, waaaah too bad I heard from one of the w@wies that they don’t allow petals in the aisle at NSDG.. have yet to confirm but, that’s just sad. Speaking of w@wies, HUHUHUHU, I wasn’t able (the auto-capitalize-chenes is starting to piss me off!!) to go at the EB. * HINAGPIS * HUHUHUH. I was sick! Grrrrr. Ganda ng timing, sarap magpakatiwarik. Hay, oh well. (NABUBWISET NA AKO SA KAKAKAPITAL NG LINTEK NA MS WORD NA ITO!)
hehe. Babush muna. Pano ba tanggalin yun…. Hmm.. pwede yun, diba? Syempre pwede, hanapin ko lang..
post ko lang toh, testing hehe.

...nobelang post
my post yesterday, August 23, 2005:
...had my first fitting with Tet Hagape last Saturday.. ang luwag! waaah! mas pumayat pa ako *hinagpis* huhuhu.. *sighs*.. bumili na nga ako Mosegor tomorrow, nainggit ako keh Mai, tumaba daw siya ng 5 lbs in 2 weeks.. sana ako rin.. anyway, I went there together with Nanay Siony, Tita Ebot, Mom and Pangs at Tet's house.. ang iingay nila hehe, para silang giggling school girls nung nakikipagusap keh Tet at mga excited magpatahi hehe.. actually, si Mom lang daw ang pinakamaingay sabi ni Pangs..(meh pinagmanahan ako) ganda ng dinesign ni Tet for them, natuwa sila, tas reasonable yung price.. keh Mommy 4500 (dami kasing beads, ang arte, lol!), keh Nanay Siony and Tita Ebot tag 3500..
here's my mom's dress..she wanted lots of beadwork in it (bilib ako sa paninindigan nya at nakakahindi siya keh Tet) she was very specific on what she wanted..the result is a gown full of beadworks..not really Tet's specialty, but what can I say, adults always win
meh pansuelo, pamuelo.. arggh crap, can't remember what it's called, that she can remove when it's dancing time
here's Nanay Siony's.. wohoo, bongga..Tet said "we could put a dainty brooch on her shoulder" then my Mom interfered and said.."ay Tet, hindi na pwedeng Dainty-dainty samen, dapat bongga!" hehe.

and keh Tita Ebot.. sabi nga ni Tet, tried and tested na ang design na toh to hide yung tummy..

after that, (tagal namin dun, muntik na nga akong makalimutan magfitting eh) we went to Marge's place (the same Marge whom we created a Brochure for) to look at her items and our invites box.. invites box muna namin..ang galing, kung supplier rating eh, exceeds expectations ito! burnt amber daw ang color.. i love it's simplicity and modern siya na meh pinoy touch..

we'll just buy the raffia strings at Divi..and mom has loads of wooden beads
AHAHAH.
"uh, okay. sige"
*sighs* hihirit pa ano. grr.

a Photo Album (abaca ba toh?, dunno the material) also bought at the Fair for the Ninongs, just 200bucks@:

hay.. lapit na ko umuwi.. arrghh tiring day..
bye guys! it's CSI NY tonight!
...had my first fitting with Tet Hagape last Saturday.. ang luwag! waaah! mas pumayat pa ako *hinagpis* huhuhu.. *sighs*.. bumili na nga ako Mosegor tomorrow, nainggit ako keh Mai, tumaba daw siya ng 5 lbs in 2 weeks.. sana ako rin.. anyway, I went there together with Nanay Siony, Tita Ebot, Mom and Pangs at Tet's house.. ang iingay nila hehe, para silang giggling school girls nung nakikipagusap keh Tet at mga excited magpatahi hehe.. actually, si Mom lang daw ang pinakamaingay sabi ni Pangs..(meh pinagmanahan ako) ganda ng dinesign ni Tet for them, natuwa sila, tas reasonable yung price.. keh Mommy 4500 (dami kasing beads, ang arte, lol!), keh Nanay Siony and Tita Ebot tag 3500..
here's my mom's dress..she wanted lots of beadwork in it (bilib ako sa paninindigan nya at nakakahindi siya keh Tet) she was very specific on what she wanted..the result is a gown full of beadworks..not really Tet's specialty, but what can I say, adults always win
meh pansuelo, pamuelo.. arggh crap, can't remember what it's called, that she can remove when it's dancing timehere's Nanay Siony's.. wohoo, bongga..Tet said "we could put a dainty brooch on her shoulder" then my Mom interfered and said.."ay Tet, hindi na pwedeng Dainty-dainty samen, dapat bongga!" hehe.

and keh Tita Ebot.. sabi nga ni Tet, tried and tested na ang design na toh to hide yung tummy..

after that, (tagal namin dun, muntik na nga akong makalimutan magfitting eh) we went to Marge's place (the same Marge whom we created a Brochure for) to look at her items and our invites box.. invites box muna namin..ang galing, kung supplier rating eh, exceeds expectations ito! burnt amber daw ang color.. i love it's simplicity and modern siya na meh pinoy touch..

we'll just buy the raffia strings at Divi..and mom has loads of wooden beads
AHAHAH. Kakatawa! hindi ko sinabi yun uh, so i figured he must have read it sa mag.. tapos, nagpaalam kami ng maaga dahil meh sched nga ako with Sentimental Groove on 3 pm.. sabi ba naman ni Daddy.. Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
‘Cause I’m Mr Briiiiiiiightsiiiiiiide
then yesterday, galing ng semi-Pinoy na si Mig! superrr galing.. i also liked JD's performance, perhaps i'm a bit biased 'cause he sang one of my all time faves too, As Tears Go By.. anyway, tanggal na daw si Jessica..

...our S2B site
(obvious bang addicted ako sa S2B na acronym?)
anyway, just bought our domain name and hosting services from brinkster.. it's funny 'cause we've surfed every single ASP host and still ended up with brinkster (favorite free server at a prehistoric time when they didn't have ads)
this is just a transition page (as Pangs calls it)
www.officiallyUs.com
yahoooooooooo! will be up and running hopefully by monday!

...wiggle it, just a little bit
System Time: 10:13 AM
ndi ako mapakali, i can't program, i don't know why.. well, maybe i do know a bit,..i'm so psyched 'bout the wedding preps and our soon-2-be house (S2BH from now on hehe!) .. i keep wiggling in my seat and all i wanna do is surf, surf, surf! i want to go home and finish our wedding website.. (it's awesome, my best work yet harharhar *buhat bench*) hmm.. ano bang bibilhin naming domain name.. we can do the usual, just our names, but i'm still trying to think of something generic that we can use even after the wedding.. (ultra difficult) Pangs is so excited about our house, we went to Dimensione yesterday after work and looked at the dining tables..(so mahal, lol!) but we saw a nice one at SOGO, just 11k for a 6-seater (or was it a 4-seater, can't recall) dining set.. dark wood with matching cushioned chairs.. ang tagal ng september!! *wiggles in my seat again*
i'll pay my w@wie tag today.. good thing that Mama Benz has a BPI account..plus we'll apply for a checking account too.. 6 months yung account namin, pwede na yun! I like the BPI Branch here in Enterprise, babait nila and we had no problems whatsoever when we opened an account. (unlike sa bwiset na Metrobank, sinumbong ko nga keh Ate Chary..kilala pala nya Manager dun sa GB, olats!)
hmm.. ano ba sched namin this week.. we're supposed to meet Jaime yesterday, pareho kaming nakalimot! bwahahah! we texted Jaime when we were already in the shuttle and we said "Jaime, we forgot to text you, nakauwi na kmi, next time na lang" then he said "Bro, (he thinks it's my Pang's celphone) buti na lang at both natin nalimutan. Cancelled yung client call namin today and nalimutan kitang abisuhan. Tentative is wednesday or thursday night" hehehe. So we're expecting to meet him this week.. Saturday is my first fitting with Tet.. My mom's going too and so is my S2B MIL (nanay Siony) and Tita Ebot.. we'll show them our S2BH when we have time (yey! *wiggles again*) ..Sunday is our listening day (don't know what it's called) at TSG.. we'll be able to listen to 10 songs that we've chosen from our list..
oh, and good news.. my cousin, Nina, has confirmed that she can be one of my Secondary sponsors.. yahooeyy! she wasn't sure before 'cause she might be out of the country, but turns out she might leave after january pa!

me, tenten and Nina
hay.. i'll try to work already.. bye all!

...busy bee
System Time: 9:59 AM
late again! hihihi.. i had a busy weekend (as usual).. Friday after work we met Miss Marela Enriquez of Sweet Follies (tel no: 8222971)..we talked about flowers for the entourage and the church.. she's a bit *sabog* but i like her 'cause she seems to know what she's talking about.. she'll email me her quotation for my ento and church so we'll know by then if we'll get her.. i'm also telling pangs to wait for the Sept3 Bridal fair (the big one at NBC Tent) so we can scout more florists there.. (plus butterfly suppliers) Saturday morning, we went tripping to our prospect House & Lot at COGEO, (not the house on a hill) 1M, 240sq/m, very livable house (the house was in good shape, to our surprise) and has this wide area at the back.. Pangs and I are already thinking that we'll put a ping-pong table there, hehe) the only bad thing about it was that behind it was the creek, but it looks pretty solid, it's riprapped and we haven't heard any landslide/overflowing there since we started living in COGEO since 1983.. it's even nearer to the main road than my parents' house.. anyway, we went inside it and it had 3 rooms, a toilet, a living area, a dining and kitchen area plus this huge backyard that was previously used as a shop for making resin products.. (with matching wash area) galing, it's a steal for 1M.. the owner is from bulacan so he doesn't know that the usual selling price around COGEO is 1.5-2M with a house such as theirs.. Pangs was a hesitant at first (because of the creek) but changed his mind after we looked inside the house (now he's as excited as me!) Pangs told Dad to haggle for us 'cause we had a meeting with SWAN later that day..
so with our hopes up, we went to Roces at SWAN to formalize every single detail about our wedding.. Irish was her usual candor self, urging us not to spend more than we already have to (hehehe! naghihinayang sa pera namin, lol!) and giving us discounts in every way that she can.. We asked for additional Bread and butter (1k) and for the soup to be served (no extra charge!) we asked for 2 more waiters (additional 1k too) so the ratio of the waiters to their table assignment is 1:2.. we finalized everything, from the centerpiece, layouts, chandelier to be used for our gazebo, etc, etc.. plus a lot of chikahan after (1 hour ata kaming nagkwentuhan, haha! tuwang tuwa si Irish na uwian na nya dhel 4:45 kami natapos, eh 2:30 kami nagkita!).. I'm really happy with SWAN, so far so good.. *crosses fingers*
LAter that night, we met my HS friends, Kate and Jing at Dencio's in Blue Wave, Marikina.. libre ni Kate, woohoo! (Thanks, Kate!) feel nya lang manlibre hehe..
Sunday morning, we went to Tita Plerry's (?) place.. (tita ni Pangs) ahmm.. okay naman, she was very makwento and offered a lot of ideas about how our wedding should be.. i guess, ganun tlga tanders, they kind of insist on their ideas but that's okay with me 'cause i was previously warned by Pangs and told me to just let her be, so that's exactly what i did.. in fairness, she had great ideas for the program (the games for the bouquet and garter) and i liked how excited she was about our wedding and even offered to take us at Divisoria Mall to look for souvenirs..
After we left their place, we met my family in Greenhills so that Nanay siony and my mom could start looking for their dress.. mahal pala ng mga piña gowns uh, 12k pinakamura! they didn't buy anything, they said they would try Tet, 'cause I have my 1st fitting with her on the 20th.. (mas mura pa)
ay about the house, Dad was able to haggle it to 950k.. tas the good part, pumayag yung owner to our terms! 50% DP, the balance, payable in 3 years! woohoo! that's just 12500 bucks a month, meh house na kami! dad's gonna pay the 350k, tas we have to look for 150k.. i'm still optimistic that we could come up with 150k but it's gonna be difficult with the wedding expenses.. hopefully, as early as september, we'll be getting our first home! yeeeehey! *sayaw sayaw ng running man..hehe so 80s*
yun muna, check out my recently uploaded pics nung Bridal Shower ni Harbie here
byersss!

50% DP, the balance, payable in 3 years! woohoo! that's just 12500 bucks a month, meh house na kami! dad's gonna pay the 350k, tas we have to look for 150k.. i'm still optimistic that we could come up with 150k but it's gonna be difficult with the wedding expenses.. hopefully, as early as september, we'll be getting our first home! yeeeehey! *sayaw sayaw ng running man..hehe so 80s*
yun muna, check out my recently uploaded pics nung Bridal Shower ni Harbie here

...harbie's wedding
...grabe, there were a LOT of guests (Harbie said she had 450 invited guests) and we were there just in time.. had my TMU with Madge Lejano around 1:30 pm and it was finished by 3pm.. good thing the wedding started on 4:30 so when we sat down, the entourage started walking down the aisle.. if Ria's reading this.. here's Zced with someone else, bwahahhaha! (i don't know if part of HS kada ni harbie siya) huhuhuhu miss you, Reeyuhhh!

Ceremony was at Manila Cathedral and reception at Manila Hotel.. 2 things i loved about the hotel, 1. the food 2. the service.. super sumptous food (and ang damiiii!) and the waiters, they just stand there, didn't even lift a finger to call them, meh initiative sila, first-class service talaga..
Yung loooong program ni Harbie, it felt like a variety show! talentado talaga buong pamilya ni Harbs, hehehe! It was a riot watching her parents do the "Hindi ako bakla" and "Mr. Suave" dance number while there were a lot of videoke happening (kunwari judge kami haha) and gagaling sumayaw ng angkan ni Harbie (alam kong buong angkan kasi buong angkan talaga ang sumayaw, hehe!) Great AVPs by Harbie's HS kada, Edrei (if ever I'm gonna get one, I want one just like what Harbie had, with matching voice over, parang reality show/trailer) and continuous naman ang program..
overall, it was a lavish and elegant event that will surely stick to my mind forever (who could forget Tita Harriet's Let's Get Loud dance number!?) and it makes me happy (for Harbie and Alfredo, sa wakas!) and sad (huhuhuhu sa States na si Harbie) at the same time but that's always normal in weddings, right? mixed emotions and all that chuva? *sighs* will miss harbie so much..
anyway, here are the pics! pansinin nyo makeup ko, you're free to comment.. oh, but don't comment on our clothes, I know, it's the same dress, LOL! I just don't want to buy another dress, ok? magkaiba naman kasama namin ni Pangs eh (ang cheap ko talaga) and yep, KELANGANG NG MAGPATABA huhuhu..

Syempre, dahil na naman kay **title goes here** hehe.. i actually can work at the development server, feeling ko lang affected ako sa pag-down ng prod, hehe! anyway, just read mai's blog and i've been tagged to answer this:

...sleep, read, watch TV.. the usual boring stuff that i enjoy doing
2. What lowers your stress/blood pressure/anxiety level?
..watching TV,DVDs.. I'm a certified couch potato..even after Pangs and I fight.. watch lang ako ng TV tas tatawag na ako nyan after.. "sori na pangs, sori na please...", LOL!

...walang iba pang sasarap..
had our production meeting with TSG, it was relatively hassle-free.. didn't realize that every aspect of the program has a background music to it.. like i would know that i should have chosen a song for the cake cutting ceremony or the wedding vows or entourage entrance..
here's our first draft of the songs with TSG (we got Science of Sound) i'll only post the songs that i know:
entrance of the bride: Kyla - I feel for you
Wedding vows - Sarah McLachLan - Angel (instrumental)
Lord's Prayer - St.Scho version (good thing Pia was Scholastican too so she knew what I was talking about)
Communion - The Lord is my Shepherd (We sing this a lot at St.Scho too)
Contract Signing/Pictorials:
1. Nearness of You
2. Spend My Life by Tamia
3. Bless the Broken Road - Rascal Flatts/Carrie U.
4. Take this Love - Sergio Mendes
5. The First time I Love forever
6. For All of My Life - MYMP (i don't know who's the original singer)
Grand Entrance of the Couple - Lovely Day (a lovely dayyy, lovely day, lovely day, lovely day!hehe)
Dinner (i wanted something upbeat and jazzy):
1.Can't Get Enough of Your Love - Barry White
2. You're My First, My Last, My Everything - Barry White
3. You're the Best Thing - Style Council
4. You are Everything - Diana Ross
5. You Make me So Very Happy
6. Just the Two of Us
7. Never Knew Love like This Before
8. Beyond The Sea
9. Knocks Me off My Feet
10. Your Love Is King - Will Young
11. Never My Love - Johnny Mathis
12. Everlasting Love
13. Isn't She Lovely
14. For the Love Of You
Cake Cutting: Can't Take my Eyes off You
Finale part: ballroom, happy, september, best of my love, you to me are everything, VST Medley etc..
*whew* this august 21st we'll be having our listening session (i get to choose 10 songs from my list) and i'll have to bring Erlyn along so she'll know what part should she speak.. (nice, erlyn! hehe!)
that's all. it's been a hellish day. FIS deployment, sinister LPs.. you name it, Mondays got it.
byers!
p.s. my title's the VST song Sumayaw, Sumunod, LSS lang

...house on a hill
System Time: 9:38 AM
grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. ano ba tong VB ko nakngputeeeek. crash ng crash! as in, show form lang "Memory cannot be read" na! watda. grrrrrrr. *sakal monitor*
hay. this morning sucks bigg time. some good news though, found out that my assigned email account here at Pramerica can accept outside mails.. so you can email me at itdev02@prudential.com (that's it dev, zero two) ..just don't use your free accounts like yahoo or hotmail 'cause they discourage that and it's not supposed to be for personal use.. (si Sir Joel nga nagchi-chikka, eh!!)
hay, bwiset na form.
haven't thinking about the wedding lately, more on what lot or house & lot must we buy.. remember the first property that we took interest in? it's in this blog. the price is now up to 900k 'cause the house is already finished. It's newly renovated and has the view of the whole COGEO.. and cons lang ng house na yun eh asa tuktok nga kaya dapat pa kami magtricycle.. tas makipot ang daan.. pero kyut na kyut yung haus, bungalow lang.. actually, i'm pretty excited about it so i'm convincing Pangs na maging excited din! hehe! kasi with just under 1M, meh livable house and lot na kami tas meh view pa.. i even drew a picture of it for him.. i told him, that's how our future children will draw it when they're ask to draw where they live, lol! kasi, edi drawing ako ng bahay.. tas meh puno sa tabi (yung pang gradeschool talaga na drawing).. tas meh vegetable patch.. tas meh doggy.. tas meh kubo sa likod (kasi maluwag din yung likod) tas yung view nya meh mountain with matching sunrise tas meh zigzag na road tas small houses, harharhar.. (pathetic drawing, i know) but still a bit convincing keh Pangs 'cause he thought it was cute.. kasi, we might even afford a small car if we get the COGEO lot.. naiimagine ko na nga maglinis ng banyo dun eh hehehe! (i swear!)
yesterday, pasok kami sa Handyman at Robinson and isa lang masasabi ko, ang saya mangarap! hehe we started thinking of what tiles to put, door handles, which shower heater (a shower heater is a MUST have! hindi ko kayang maligo ng malamig!) and lots of other household stuff.. it's so much fun! it's like playing house, hehehe, only this time, we get to do it for real..
hay.. gusto ko na matapos wedding para iba na matutukan namin! mas nakakatipid nga sa wedding pag makapagdecide na kami dun kasi iisipin ko.. "centerpiece upgrade or new vinyl tiles".. HELLO!? lol! syempre mas priority ang house!
so excited na akooo!!
pangs kow, i love you!

...endless loop
System Time: 1:57 PM
just trying to finish this module that Ma'am M said is supposed to be tested next week.. hehe, as if. i haven't even begun the other forms yet.. and they better have test scripts this time, i'm not giving out my program without all the scenarios in clear, concise words..
*sigh* i've been deployed here in Pramerica for 1 year and 9 months now, and frankly, the only good thing about that is that I get to see my Pangs everyday. I'm just getting tired of the work here. It's pretty much the same. But at least things are a bit better 'cause I'm coding a new project. (CMT/Collection Monitoring Tool) At least, that's something new. It's just that this project is so vague and Ma'am M didn't really give me much specs.. and if she did, they're really not THAT helpful. and she gives them to me in pseudocode! i know, some programmers find it better, but really, it's more confusing, 'cause when the result isn't correct, you wouldn't know where to start looking 'cause you just followed the stupid pseudocode in the first place! 'cause you don't really understand what the hell you're doing with the figures! lol!
sample of Ma'am M's pseudocode:
Link TPOL to TPOLC with POL_ID
Filter TPOLC.CLI_ADDR_TYP_CD = 'PR' and TCLIA.CLI_ADDR_TYP_SEQ_NUM = '001'
Link TPOLC.CLI_ID = TCLIA.CLI_ID
Link TCLIA.CLI_CRNT_LOC_CD with TEDIT.ETBL_VALU_ID
*sighs* i don't think she gets why i keep on asking about the tables. hay. anyWAY, yeah, i'm pretty tired. i remember this conversation i had with ate chary, she said "alam mo kung ano nakakapayat? yung isip ng isip. try mo kayang wag magisip."
i just looked at her incredulously and said "Eh programmer ako eh, panong huwag mag-isip!!??"
Si Ate Ging natawa na lang keh Ate Chary.
if there's one thing that i want to change in my life, it's that.. my career path. After ni Pangs, pag nag MBA na siya, ako naman. Mabilis ata kaming tatanda kakaisip.
*sighs again*
better go back to work. I still have 3 forms to finish.
arrrrrrgghhh. meh error pa ulit ako sa walang kamatayang FIS. to think, supposed to be sign-off na namin. L O L! asa pa ako!

...house dilemma
went to Divisoria last Saturday, bought the lace and half pearls that we need for our DIY invites.. will do it as soon as we get the boxes from Tita Penny..
Pangs and I had a heated discussion about our plans to buy a lot.. where, how much is our budget, the parents issue, we talked and argued about everything.. in the end, pangs told me if we could afford it, we'll go for the 1M lot but nearer location inspite of my mother's disapproval.. nobody wants to disobey their parents, but this will be OUR life.. we realize their point, but i just hope they will realize ours and they must know that we take their advice seriously and we value their opinions..anyway, if we can't shell out 1M, we'll go buy the 800k dilapidated house but 240sq.m lot in COGEO.. i just really like the Lumang Bayan Lot,.. Lumang Bayan is located about 1.5 kilometers from Masinag (Antipolo) and is along Marcos Highway.. it's very accessible, and the lot that we're eyeing is walkable(?) from the gate (only 2 blocks from the gate).. no need for tricycles when commuting and that's a BIG factor for us.. to sum it up, here are the pros in buying the Lumang bayan lot:
1. it's very accessible to go to, just about 1.5 kilometers from Masinag
2. we could now take jeep routes like Prancia, Gate 2, Pagrai (ang hirap kasi kumuha ng COGEO LOOB, daming nagcucutting-trip)
3. there's a Cherry Foodarama in front of it
4. There's a church beside it
5. There's a Badminton Club beside it (beside the church)
6. there's no house to knock down (meaning: we have free rein on whatever house we want to build)
6. meh NAWASA na (sa Cogeo, soon pa, pero very soon naman, in fairness)
7. It faces East (sa Cogeo na lot na tinitingnan namin, facing West)
8. There's an outdoor Basketball Court near the lot (but not THAT near that it would disturb you)
9. from our jeepney/FX ride at Marcos Highway, maglalakad na lng kami papuntang bahay.
10. meh guard sa gate (HEHE!)
the cons:
1. mas mahal siya kesa sa COGEO lot by 200k
2. mas maliit pa (178 sq.m lang)
3. mother's disapproval
4. totally lot lang so gagastos pa kami ng mga 400-500k for a simple house
mas marami namang pros dibuh! and i'm sure mom will come around..
yun muna, we'll be going to Lumang Bayan to talk to the broker.. sana matawaran pa *crosses fingers*

...budget breakdown
System Time: 10:30am
less than 6 months to go and we've already spent 134++k on our suppliers..even if we've exceeded on some parts (but it was mainly on the food, 'cause our original 150 guests became 200) , i'm still happy 'cause we still have about 80+k for our wedding fund in the bank.. we usually give 7k per payday on our wedding fund but i haven't been able to give my part 'cause i sort of forgot about my insurance payments (hehe) so i'd have to forego the wedding fund for a couple of months and save up for that instead.. (24k due on october.. huhuhuh) not having the LIPS project doesn't help either,..no more reason to go OT, which means less pay.. *sighs* we're trying to finish the rest of our freelance website projects, so we can add a bit of everything to our fund..
Tita Penny texted me and said that the boxes are ready for pick-up! and the best part it, she said it was free! yahoo! i ordered 10 6x6 1"thick boxes from her (just paper boxes) and 100 6x6 .5" thick boxes.. the 1" thick for our ninang's necklaces and the .5" for our invites.. we'll just be decorating the boxes with sinamay, abaca, bamboo and fake pearls..i don't think it's gonna 'cause us that much, maybe about 1.5k for the materials..
i've received a lot of advice from w@w and i'm so grateful 'cause they told me which areas i could cut our budget further.. (like HMUA, hotel rooms, souvenirs, etc)
hay, ang gastos parin. we're about to start looking for our home and i just want to get the wedding preps over with so we could concentrate on finding and furnishing our house.. Pangs has more or less decided on buying a lot at Lumang Bayan.. that's at Marcos Highway, about a kilometer from Masinag.. we like it there 'cause there's a big Cherry Foodarama infront of it, a Church and a Badminton Court! hehe! and we'll only have to walk a couple of blocks from Marcos Highway to get there..
teka.. kain na daw kami ni Pangs..
System Time: 1:13 PM
Pangs and I ate at A Venetto(?).. food was okay, service was great as well as their servings.. they're huge! we just doggy bagged the whole pasta 'cause we were already so full from the pizza.. we went after at SM to Buttons & Wraps and i bought some stuff for my scrapbook.. it's starting to become an expensive hobby.. but i'm super enjoying making my scrapbooks (though you can see from my end results when i had my good days or my bad days, hehe) and i'm optimistic that i'm improving, harhar.. i'm not really creative, i just enjoy pasting and cutting stuff hihihi.. i'm itching to go to Divisoria 'cause everything's so cheap there... (the mini flowers, buttons, laces, ribbons, organza, etc) hope i could go this weekend..
work na ulit ako.. pangs ko, i love you! i can't wait!
less than 6 months to go and we've already spent 134++k on our suppliers..even if we've exceeded on some parts (but it was mainly on the food, 'cause our original 150 guests became 200) , i'm still happy 'cause we still have about 80+k for our wedding fund in the bank.. we usually give 7k per payday on our wedding fund but i haven't been able to give my part 'cause i sort of forgot about my insurance payments (hehe) so i'd have to forego the wedding fund for a couple of months and save up for that instead.. (24k due on october.. huhuhuh) not having the LIPS project doesn't help either,..no more reason to go OT, which means less pay.. *sighs* we're trying to finish the rest of our freelance website projects, so we can add a bit of everything to our fund..

...wedding preps weekend
sa bagay, almost all of our weekends are for our wedding preps.. saturday, we went to Megamall for the SME trade fair (small and medium enterprises).. i'm a big fan of local manufacturers 'cause i love filipino made products.. they're unique, well-made (even though they're more expensive than china products.. grrr, i hate china products! they're so cheap, kawawa mga manufacturers naten) and affordable.. i'm thinking of buying native abaca bags for our ninangs when we visit them one by one at their homes (to inform them that we've chosen them as one of our sponsors).. a lot of cute, cheap bags from 200-100 bucks each.. I know some of the booths there 'cause they're also part of REMAI (rizal exporters manufacturers association inc.), to which my mom is a member. i made my favorite stop at Yellow Violet, owned by Tita Isabel, and bought 2 large scrapbooks and various scrapbook paraphernalia.. (i called Tita so she gave me a 20% discount, bwahhaha) i made some headway on our scrapbook.. i do believe i'm improving but sometimes i want to rip out a page that i made 'cause i wasn't feeling it but decided not to 'cause i didn't want to waste my effort, hehe..(i'll show some of my scrapbook when i find the time to photograph it).. after Yellow Violet, I saw these beautiful fans made from handmade paper with a wooden handle at WoodInspirations.. i ransacked the pile so i was able to get all the yellow fans to go with my motif.. (just 10bucks each!) i plan to insert them on the misalette 'cause NSDG is not air conditioned and it could get warm.. at least our guests will know that we've thought of them even in the smallest of details..
after that we saw some booths that sell Piña Cloth for barongs.. one booth was from Kalibo and my mom even knew the company 'cause they were able to visit their factory when she was in Kalibo.. i got their business card and was able to talk to the owner and order Pangs' barong.. we wanted Nanay Siony (nanay na daw itawag ko sa kanya eh, hihihi *tuwa naman ako*) to see the telas so we told them that we'll be back the next day.
Sunday morning, Pangs with Nanay Siony, Akel and her friend MaeAnn fetched me at MRT North so that we could go to Dangwa to (guess what) canvass our flowers for the entourage.. but before that, we made a stop to Pangs' lola (sister ng lola ni pangs).. i'm not really sure but i'm hoping she liked me 'cause she was really nice and kept on telling me to eat more para magkalaman naman daw ako, hehe.. she even told me na "iba daw ang sigla ni Raymond ngayon" bwahaha. whatever that means, lol! (sabi ni Pangs kinikilig daw ako, asuuuus) anyway, Dangwa naman after that. we went to 3 stalls, first one was Maeann's contact, 2nd was Joel of Bulaklak and 3rd was Weddings and Bouquets (c/o Manang Sungit).. Pangs didn't like the last one, she was much too opinionated but I liked her 'cause she seems to know what she is talking about.. i like talking to the owners/florists themselves 'cause they are able to give suggestions for flowers and actually know what flower i'm talking about.. the first 2 asked for 6k for my entourage (a total of 17 people, including the bride) and Ms. Sungit quoted 7500..
pagkatapos (mega gutom na ako nito, ndi ko lang pinapakita hehe!) we went to Megamall where Nanay Siony and Akel treated us at Dencio's (yumyum) tas straight to the Trade Fair ulit kami.. there, Nanay Siony was able to buy 2 barongs, 1 for my FIL2b and Pangs' Best man.. ganda ng barong, Piña Seda na Raya (?) meaning meh embroidery din sa likod, ndi lang scattered so medyo stand out ang Father of the Groom.. yung sa Dad ko, isa nalng kasi dun yung Raya kaya babalikan na lang daw nila kami (pati yung keh Pangs).. and mura dun, yung mga Piña Jusi na tela tag 1k lang.. tas yung mga pure piña (pero ndi Raya) tag 5k lang..
happy ako kasi mababait sila tsaka mukhang kaya-kaya nila yung pinagayang design ni Pangs sa kanila, i guess, let's just wait and see..
now i'm also thinking kung san kami titira ni pangs.. dapat pala nagtitripping na kami if we want our house to be ready by January..
yun muna, babayuu!

...DIY projects

feeling masipag lately so i decided to start on my save-the-date magnets.. we were supposed to just order at papemelrotti (they have magnets with a nice woody feel at only 30 bucks each) but when my mom was able to buy magnets (P1.00 each!) at quiapo, i told pangs i'll just do it myself.. i used handmade yellow paper, some strings to frame it and tied a green organza ribbon around it..
my mom also made a couple of necklace and bracelet set to be given to our ninangs..
it's freshwater pearls with green cloison beads and swarovski fillers..
here's a close-up of the beads.. i absolutely love my mom! hehe!

... going to Megamall later to meet pangs after lunch.. i'm at home so i'm using a dial-up connection.. waah, it sucks. now i remember why i don't use the internet when i'm at home..
btw, i also made a magnet photo for ms.anna's daughter, nina. it's her birthday today (happy birthday!).. unfortunately, we can't make it to her party so i made this for her.. hope ms. anna likes it.. (syempre ndi pa appreciate ni nina toh hehe!)

hihihi. feeling maraming oras. see you guys!

...lucky day
ohmygod, i'm in the middle of reading Harry Potter (nicked a soft copy from someone so i get to continue reading here in the office, bwahaha) and someone just said that ..
waiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. if you haven't read it or don't want to know what's gonna happen, one major spoiler is coming up so don't continue reading if you don't wanna know..
where was i? yeah, a major character would be dying and it's.. dumbledore! ohmygod i have yet to confirm (i'm not even halfway thru the book!) but i already feel sick to the stomach just thinking about it.. huhuhhu.. how could JK rowling do this.. LOL! god, i'm so affected.. so far, everything's so interesting, much much better than the last book which bored to tears in the first part of the book.. (gusto ko na mag-gera eh! lol!) anyway, i'm feeling lucky today (like i've taken felix felicis) 'cause Ma'am M's absent (my supervisor) and i get to read a bit every once in a while.. it has taken every breath of my willpower to go to work today instead of staying at home and reading the whole book.. huhuhu.. can't believe he's dead..
btw, back to my Muggle world, I have asked my college kada, Erlyn to be my Emcee at my wedding! after a couple of muras (hehe) from her, i was able to convince her to do it but only if there's not one but two rehearsals (which i haven't thought about!) for her to get the feel and flow of the program..ooh erlyn, thank you, thank you very much.. thank you for being my emcee inspite knowing that you can't leave NCR that month , that i need 3 full days with you, that you'll probably not be able to eat during my wedding (don't worry! you get to partner with Raymond's friend so just take turns eating.. plus i'll tell the waiters to serve you your food so you won't have to line up on the buffet) that (as you said) you'll be needing a new dress, or have to go on a diet (which i really don't think you need) etc, etc.. thank you erlynnnnnn so, so much!! >:D< !!
p.s.
let me continue reading HP! waaah! Ron just kissed Lavender Brown (not just kissed, full-blown snogging)..Hermione's livid with jealousy bwahahha *exciting* plus Harry likes Ginny!! (hehe, syempre sa love story ako naexcite!)

...tagaytay escapade
my blog yesterday, July 18, 2005
system Time: 5:50 PM
i've got harry potter!! i didn't reserve a copy 'cause i knew they'll have a mountain of HP books like last time.. (besides, meh 10% off naman tlga!) hayyy.. i'm so low in cash..(but i'm categorizing HP as a "must-have" so :bleh) i guess super tipid mode na dapat.. (at least i'm reading HP lol!)
pangs and i went to Exclusively His during lunch and he just asked a quotation for his barong and pants..(he printed a picture of his desired design).. we'll know tomorrow maybe how much it'll cost..
anyway, more on Jho's wedding.. it was simple and elegant, and very well organized.. her flowers were great! i didn't know what kind it was.. here's her centerpiece..(inuna daw ba ang centerpiece kesa keh Jho, lol! that's Ma'am Marivic San Luis, different Marivic from my boss, and her husband..obvious ba kung ano kinukuhanan ko?)

okay, si Jho and Nonoi muna.. Jho looked radiant.. (makeup by Madge Ledano) and her bridal gown's made by Rosette of Something Borrowed

think it's the first time i listened to the readings and sermon in a wedding.. perhaps because Caleruega is such a small church that you have no choice but to listen hehe.. Nonoi's brother is a priest so he was the one who made the sermon so it was extra special and meaningful for them.. i especially liked the unity candle part 'cause it was different.. they took the two big candles from the pillar and tied them together..i'll ask Jho if we too can do that in our wedding..

church, flowers at church (ganda!)

picture taking muna lol!
the reception was held in Royale Tagaytay Estates..the food was okay, (grr ndi ko naenjoy kasi tinopak na naman tsan ko huhuhu) but i really liked their reception 'cause their program ran very smoothly and their Emcee was great (childhood friend of NoNoi and a former LP at Pramerica, small world ano?).. he was fluent and candid and knows how to adlib.. (i do think he's gay, though haahha.. kasi nung tinawag ako para sa bouquet chuva (ayoko kasi ang saket ng tsan ko pero nakita parin ako) mega describe siya sa suot ko.. "ooh, the girl with a lovely pink dress with a brown bow and her cute bolero".. oh dibuh, gay lang ang magdedescribe ng outfit noh! lol!) but inspite of his identity crisis (meh gf daw siya eh) he still proved to be a very good emcee..

ay ganda pala ng cake topper nila Jho..
after nun, liwaliw naman kami with Pramerica people sa tagaytay.. first at Sonya's Garden (suki na kami dito ni pangs, lol!)
here are the pictures: (prenups daw eh! haha! ang kukulit, meh mga director chuva pa kami!)

nag bag of beans din kami (sawap ng strawberry milk shake) tas uwi na..
kakapressure tuloy wedding ni Jho, lol! well executed kasi eh.. meh funny moments din.. like si Jho, after ng sabay sila magsalita, tuloy-tuloy si Jho sa pagbasa pati yung "And I, by the power vested by the church" which is dapat sa pari na! lol! comedy talaga hehe! it just adds to the charm of her wedding..if my wedding turns half as nice as hers, okay sa alright na sa akin yon!
byers!
